After more than two years of closure, Deluxe Bingo Hastings will reopen this Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a renewed commitment to community and compassion.
The historic entertainment venue on the Hastings seafront, part of the Godden Gaming Organisation, is known for its strong community presence and focus on social responsibility. It returns in 2025 with a fresh look, best bingo events and a renewed dedication to supporting local causes.

To mark the occasion, Deluxe Bingo has pledged to raise £10,000 for St Michael’s Hospice (Hastings & Rother), a local charity offering expert palliative and end-of-life care.
The fundraising initiative launches with a £1,000 donation on opening day, with the remaining amount to be raised over the next year through a series of events and activities, similar to how Seaside Pub's bingo sessions raised funds for guide dogs.
Founded in 1987, St Michael’s Hospice supports more than 1,200 individuals each year through inpatient, home-based and bereavement services.
Jeremy Godden, director of the Godden Gaming Organisation, said: “We’re proud to be bringing Deluxe Bingo back to life, and even prouder to do so in support of such a vital local cause.
"St Michael’s Hospice is a pillar of our community, and it’s our privilege to help fund the exceptional care they provide.”
Sophie Bailey, community and corporate fundraiser at St Michael’s Hospice, expressed gratitude for the support:
“I have fond memories of the Deluxe and am excited to see it reopening. On behalf of the hospice, thank you to the Deluxe team for committing to raise £10,000.
"Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local people.”
The event will take place at the newly refurbished Deluxe Bingo, located at 2–6 Pelham Place, Hastings. Entry is for ages 18 and over with valid ID required.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
