Land-based gamblers now have another way to get their Buffalo fix at home, with Aristocrat Interactive launching Jackpot Carnival on online platforms.
For visitors to land based casino destinations, cries of ‘buffalooooo’ being heard are commonplace, with the series of games spawning numerous classics over the years.
Some have made the move online too, as have many games from other studios attempting to replicate the popular North American plains theme.
Such releases have certainly been few and far between though, making the release of the Jackpot Carnival version a significant one. The initial release will see Jackpot Carnival Buffalo made available to online players in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ontario and the United Kingdom.
Jackpot Carnival is a series of games in its own right, with Buffalo being just one of Aristocrat’s library of classic games being used as a theme – Miss Kitty, Power of 88, and Timber Wolf being the others.
The game has two very popular features, both based upon prize stalls you’d expect to find at a classic American carnival. The first is a ball game, where you shoot balls out of a clown’s mouth into bays corresponding with cash wins. The other, which is probably more popular, is a hammer game where a mallet is dropped strongman style to raise cash wins through various levels of multiplies.
On the Buffalo version, there is also the usual free games feature as well, triggered, as always, by landing three coins on any one spin.
“This launch marks a major milestone for Aristocrat Interactive as we deliver content to players across multiple key jurisdictions at once for the very first time,” Adrian Bailey, managing director of content & aggregation at Aristocrat Interactive, said in a press release.
“Bringing this title online reflects our commitment to meeting player demand and expanding our footprint in regulated markets with the entertaining content players know and love.”
It continues a recent trend of popular land-based games moving into the iGaming world as well. It was previously rarely seen, although Mo Mummy (Aristocrat) and Huff N Even More Puff (Light & Wonder) have made the transition this year as slots manufacturers look to bring their land-based and online offerings closer together.
