Games Global has secured a licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) commission, the company announced Sept. 7.
The licence lets the content supplier bring its slot and live-dealer catalogue to Alberta online casinos in the province's new regulated iGaming market.
Alberta became Canada's second regulated online gambling jurisdiction after Ontario when its market opened July 13.
Games Global's portfolio spans more than 50 studio partners and thousands of titles.
Three slot franchises already live in Ontario are heading to Alberta: Gold Blitz, 12 Masks of Fire and Fishin' Pots of Gold.
Alberta players will also get access to Games Global's back catalogue of Microgaming-era franchises through licensed operators, including Mega Moolah, Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck II.
Premium live-dealer tables developed with Games Global's exclusive live casino partner, OnAir Entertainment, are also set to launch in the province.
Those tables are already distributed to Canadian operators through the Ontario online casino market.
Mark MacCombie, chief commercial officer at Games Global, said the Alberta launch builds on the company's existing momentum in Canada.
"The opening of Alberta's iGaming market is an exciting opportunity for Games Global."
MacCombie said the company has already established a strong presence in Ontario, where its content has proven popular with players, and that it expects Alberta to build on that momentum.
He added that North America remains a key strategic focus, and that Games Global will keep working with operator partners and its exclusive studios to serve players across regulated markets on the continent.
A supplier licence is different from an operator licence: it lets Games Global sell its content to AGLC-approved operators rather than run a consumer-facing casino brand itself.
That means the practical effect for players depends on which operators choose to carry Games Global's titles.
Alberta's roster of licensed online slots and live dealer games has grown steadily since launch, and a major supplier entry typically shows up in operator lobbies within weeks.
Games Global's Alberta entry follows a run of supplier and operator registrations since the market's July 13 launch.
Whether Gold Blitz, Fishin' Pots of Gold and the rest of the catalogue appear on a given operator's site will depend on individual content deals still being finalized.
