The Complete Guide to Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas: How to Pick the Right Show

LAS VEGAS – Cirque du Soleil has been a fixture in the Las Vegas entertainment world for more than three decades.

The lineup has changed considerably over the years. With Mad Apple closing at New York-New York in September 2026, four Cirque du Soleil productions remain on the Las Vegas Strip: “Mystère,” “KÀ,” “O,” and “Michael Jackson ONE.”

Each show is 90 minutes long and combines dance, acrobatics, storytelling, and music to wow guests every time. They all use a unique combination of those elements to create their own distinct experiences.

“O” is an elaborate aquatic show centered on its 1.5-million-gallon pool, while “Michael Jackson ONE” is driven by music as the primary focus. “KÀ” relies on a massive moving stage that tilts and shifts during the performances, while “Mystère” is the closest to a traditional circus show, with a loose story.

Ticket prices can range from $68 to $468, depending on upgrades. VIP packages are available at each show for guests who want premium seats, backstage access, and lounge perks that you won't get with general admission.

But they do cost significantly more than a regular seat, so it's important to know what the upgrades are to see if it’s worth it for you and your guests.

Here is our guide to everything you need to know about the four Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, along with the VIP options at each show.

‘Mystère’ at Treasure Island

“Mystère” is the one to book if your group is mixed between ages and budget matters. It's the most affordable side starting at $68. It’s the only one of the four shows with no age restriction.

The production opened at Treasure Island on Dec. 25, 1993, making it the original Las Vegas resident Cirque du Soleil show. More than 30 years later, it’s still one of the city's longest-running productions.

“Mystère” is typically performed from Friday through Tuesday. The show itself is a loose, circus-style sequence. Expect to see acrobatic acts, aerial work, Chinese poles, and contortion, closing with a full-stage taiko drum finale. It's more of a thematic show than a story, so there's nothing you really need to follow.

Book “Mystère” tickets from $84.

‘O’ at Bellagio

The show is built around a massive aquatic stage featuring divers, artistic swimmers, and performers that move all throughout the water.

The pool in the O Theatre is 25 feet deep, holding 1.5 million gallons of water. According to Cirque du Soleil, 75 artists and 130 technicians are involved in bringing the production together.

The setting at Bellagio is conveniently in the center of the Strip, so this one is easy to pair with dinner or another attraction before or afterward.

Tickets for the “O” show are usually the most expensive of the bunch for a standard ticket, but the pricing reflects the scale of the production. It's been running at Bellagio since it opened in 1998 and has welcomed over 20 million visitors over the years.

“O” tickets start at $156.

‘KÀ’ at MGM Grand

“KÀ” is the most narrative-driven show out of all of the Cirque du Soleil options, located at MGM Grand. The story focuses on royal twins who are separated by war, and they embark on separate journeys as they try to find their way back to each other.

The story eventually brings them to a confrontation with an empire at war, featuring themes of danger, conflict, and romance.

One of the biggest attractions in the production is the enormous moving stage with a platform that can tilt and shift dramatically during the performance. This allows the show to have acrobatic sequences that would normally be impossible on a typical flat stage.

“KÀ” usually has showtimes at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM from Monday to Wednesday, and at 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

This Cirque show is a great option for older children and teenagers who can appreciate the story alongside the acrobatics. It's also the current Cirque production with the youngest age requirement. Children must be over 3 to be allowed in, and anyone under 18 has to be accompanied by an adult.

“KÀ” tickets start at $80.

Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay

“Michael Jackson ONE” is the most music-driven Cirque show in Vegas, built around the music and creative legacy of none other than Michael Jackson.

The show at Mandalay Bay is usually held Thursday through Monday at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

Expect to see some of Jackson’s iconic dances and songs paired with visuals that reference his moments in his career during this show. Cirque describes it as a “celebration of Jackson's artistic legacy.”

The prices are in the middle of the range of all the Cirque shows. Las Vegas may offer other Michael Jackson tribute productions that can cost less, but “Michael Jackson ONE” is an immersive experience on another level. The show brings acrobatics into the mix with Jackson’s songs and dances compared to shows that may just feature musical tributes to him on stage.

This one is great if you are a Michael Jackson fan or want a Cirque show that's built around music more than anything else. Children under 5 are not permitted, and any guest under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult.

Book “Michael Jackson ONE” tickets from $115.

VIP Experiences and What They Offer

All four VIP packages have similar offerings, such as premium seating, some form of backstage or meet-and-greet access, and food or drink included. Expect to pay at least $200 more than a standard ticket.

The On Stage with Mystère experience is the cheapest of the four at $285, and it gets you stage and backstage access, an artist meet-and-greet, refreshments, a complimentary photo, and VIP seating. It’s roughly $217 more than a standard Mystère ticket.

The KÀ Royal VIP Experience runs $350 and adds early entry, a guided backstage tour, a meet-and-greet, professional photos, and food and drink, on top of some of the best seats in the house. That's about $270 more than the standard price.

Michael Jackson ONE's VIP Experience is also $350, and it includes a pre-show reception, a virtual tour of the theater, a specialty drink and popcorn, a meet-and-greet, and VIP seating. The premium over a standard ticket is about $235.

The O La Grande Expérience is both the most expensive and elaborate of the upgrades, starting at $468. With this one, you get a private VIP suite for the show with champagne, popcorn, and other gourmet treats. It also includes a pre-show reception and a meet-and-greet with the performers. For all that’s included, it’s roughly $312 above the standard “O” ticket.

If you want the best possible seat and don't care about the extras, you can often get close to a VIP-level view by paying for premium standard seating instead. The packages make more sense if the backstage access and meet-and-greet perks are what you’re really after.

First Time at Cirque? Here’s What to Know

Before you pick a show, consider the age range.

If you have a mixed group of any ages, “Mystère” is a great option with no age restriction. The format works well for younger kids, but also adults and older teenagers still enjoy it.

If you have children under age 5 in your group, “Mystère” and “KÀ” are the only options, since Michael Jackson One and the O show both require kids to be 5 or older.

For older children or teenagers who are more interested in a story, “KÀ” has a strong story and moving stage to keep viewers engaged.

If you want one show that has the best production and budget isn’t too much of a worry, then absolutely go for “O.” It gets rave reviews across age ranges, and you won't regret it.
