The Saskatchewan gaming market is shared between two distinct operators, each with a different mandate and community focus.

Saskatchewan has nine licensed casino venues spread across the province. SaskGaming operates two properties in Regina and Moose Jaw, while SIGA's seven First Nations casinos serve communities from Saskatoon and Swift Current to Prince Albert, Yorkton, North Battleford, Lloydminster and the White Bear First Nation near Carlyle. The venues range from a landmark historic casino in downtown Regina to modern resort properties on Treaty land.

These are Saskatchewan's three largest casino properties, spanning a landmark downtown heritage venue, a First Nations resort destination and a full-service northern entertainment complex.

Located in Regina's historic Union Station, a Beaux-Arts limestone building completed in 1912, Casino Regina is Saskatchewan's largest casino and the flagship property of SaskGaming. Fully modernised in 2023, the 75,000-square-foot gaming facility houses 780 slot machines, 30 table games including blackjack, roulette and baccarat, and a dedicated poker room open daily from noon to 4am. A Vegas-style Show Lounge hosts live music and comedy acts throughout the year, and three restaurants and bars are available on site. There is no on-site hotel, though the casino is within walking distance of multiple downtown Regina accommodation options.

Operated by SIGA on Whitecap Dakota First Nation land approximately 20 minutes south of Saskatoon, Dakota Dunes is Saskatchewan's premier resort gaming destination. The casino completed Phase 1 of a major expansion in December 2025, bringing the gaming floor to approximately 85,000 square feet with over 620 slot machines, 18 table games including electronic tables for roulette, baccarat and blackjack, and the province's only dedicated high limit room. Further phases of expansion are underway throughout 2026.

The adjacent 155-room resort hotel is designed to reflect the Indigenous heritage of the Whitecap Dakota Nation, with architecture echoing the traditional tipi. Resort amenities include an indoor rooftop pool, hot tub, fitness centre and 10,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. The Moose Woods Homefire Grill serves a farm-to-table menu with locally sourced ingredients. An award-winning 18-hole golf course sits adjacent to the property, and a large thermal spa facility is scheduled to open in late 2026.

Northern Lights Casino is SIGA's second largest property, located in Prince Albert — the gateway to northern Saskatchewan — at 44 Marquis Road West. The 40,000-square-foot facility houses 522 slot machines across smoking and non-smoking gaming floors, plus 12 live table games and electronic table gaming via The Circuit, offering blackjack, baccarat, roulette and Three Card Poker. A 31,000-square-foot expansion was announced in August 2024 and is currently underway in three phases, adding a new entrance, expanded dining and additional gaming space.

On-site amenities include the North Star Restaurant and Starlight Lounge, which hosts regular live entertainment and monthly dinner shows. The casino is connected to the Prince Albert Inn, which provides hotel accommodation for overnight visitors.

Saskatchewan has six additional casino properties serving communities across the province, all operated by SIGA on First Nations land. These venues typically offer a gaming floor with slots and table games, a restaurant or lounge and regular live entertainment.

Casino Moose Jaw (Moose Jaw) is SaskGaming's second property, located in downtown Moose Jaw connected via skywalk to the Temple Gardens Hotel and Spa. The 12,000-square-foot Art Deco gaming floor, inspired by the city's Roaring Twenties history, houses over 200 slot machines and seven table games including blackjack, single zero roulette and Chase the Flush. Poker is available on Fridays and Saturdays. The CMJ Express cafe serves food during all casino hours.

Gold Eagle Casino (North Battleford) is SIGA's original property, opened in 1996 on the Yellowhead Highway in North Battleford. The 29,000-square-foot gaming floor features 335 slot machines and eight live table games. The Kihiw Restaurant offers a la carte dining and a popular Sunday buffet, and the Gold Ridge Centre hosts live entertainment and events for up to 400 guests. A major relocation and expansion to a new 67-acre site on Highway 16 West is planned, representing one of the largest single investments ever undertaken by a Saskatchewan First Nation.

Living Sky Casino (Swift Current) serves southwestern Saskatchewan from its location on the Trans-Canada Highway. The casino features 220 slot machines, 10 live table games and regular live entertainment, making it the main gaming destination for the region.

Painted Hand Casino (Yorkton) is located on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation in Yorkton, approximately two hours northeast of Regina on the Yellowhead Highway. The casino offers slots, live table games and dining, and recently relocated to a new $22 million facility.

Bear Claw Casino (White Bear First Nations, near Carlyle) is SIGA's original property, situated on White Bear First Nations land near Moose Mountain Provincial Park in southeastern Saskatchewan. The casino offers slots, table games and a hotel on site.

Gold Horse Casino (Lloydminster) is SIGA's newest property, opened in December 2018 on Little Pine Cree Nation land within Lloydminster on the Saskatchewan-Alberta border. The casino offers slots, electronic table games and dining, and serves both Saskatchewan and Alberta residents.

Saskatchewan has a limited number of dedicated poker facilities, with the main room being at Casino Regina. Players must be 19 or older to participate.

Casino Regina (Regina) Dedicated poker room open daily from noon to 4am, offering Texas Hold'em cash games and regular weekly tournaments.

Casino Moose Jaw (Moose Jaw) Poker available on Fridays and Saturdays only, with call-in registration required to secure a seat.

Saskatchewan has no active horse racing venues with associated casino or gaming facilities. Pari-mutuel horse racing previously operated in the province but there are currently no racino-style properties in operation.
