The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) is excited to unveil its innovative SIGA Rewards app, designed to enrich the gaming experience across all seven First Nation-operated casino destinations in Saskatchewan.

This new mobile platform enables members to easily check their rewards status, access exclusive offers, and participate in lively social tournaments, all from their smartphones.

Canadian tribal casinos have played a significant part in the country’s gambling history, and they are an essential part of the Canadian gambling market. Launching in the mid-1990s, the First Nations gaming industry boasts 18 land-based casinos in Canada in multiple provinces. They remain one of the most popular forms of gambling in the country despite the presence of hundreds of commercial casinos that share the market with them.

Vice President of Marketing and Digital Strategy Thy Prak said, “Our focus is on creating engaging, culturally connected gaming experiences that celebrate First Nation communities.

“The new SIGA Rewards app offers our members a more interactive way to connect with their favourite casinos while honouring our First Nation heritage.”

Key Features of App

The app is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store. The key features include social slot tournaments, access to exclusive member rewards, and straightforward navigation to view club tier status and points. As a special welcome, new users who download the app will receive 2,000 bonus points for a limited time.

To mark this launch, each SIGA Casino will provide in-person support to assist guests in downloading and exploring the app. All members who install the app within the first month will also receive 2,000 welcome points and can participate in ongoing social slot tournaments with chances to win prizes.

SIGA Manages Seven First Nation Casinos and Online Platforms in Saskatchewan

SIGA, a prominent gaming operator, manages seven First Nation-operated casinos across Saskatchewan, along with its online gaming platform.

The casino destinations include the Dakota Dunes Resort & Casino on Whitecap Dakota First Nation near Saskatoon.

It is just one of their casinos where sustainability meets luxury and their innovative water treatment plant delivers bottled-quality water straight from the tap using natural biological processes instead of heavy chemicals. Sourced from their pristine local aquifer and meticulously tested, it's just one way Whitecap Dakota Nation blends environmental responsibility with exceptional hospitality.

There are also the Northern Lights Casino on the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation in Prince Albert. Dancing and lighting up the evening sky with coloured brilliance, the northern lights are thought to be the spirits of past generations. They are departed relatives and friends dancing in the night, revelling in a celebration.

The Northern Lights Casino is one of the primary entertainment destinations in western Canada. Located in what is known as “The Gateway to the North”, the casino boasts over 560 slot machines and the excitement of 6 Live Table Games.

The 46,500 square foot facility offers a larger gaming floor along with the Northstar Restaurant. Various well-known artists have found their way to the live stage at the Northern Lights Casino over the past years.

Check out the other First Nation casinos including:

Gold Eagle Casino on the Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Mean First Nation in North Battleford

Living Sky Casino on the Nekaneet First Nation in Swift Current, Painted Hand Casino on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation in Yorkton.

Bear Claw Casino on the White Bear First Nations near Carlyle, and Gold Horse Casino on Little Pine Cree Nation in Lloydminster.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
