From the Studio of Wild Streak Gaming and powered by Pragmatic Play comes a slot machine so bland, that it has as much appeal as organic porridge. I feel bad for Wild Streak Gaming because any association with Pragmatic Play means they have to carry their incompetence around like a bad smell. Tell, you what, for the rest of this review, I’m going to do them a favor and just say it was all Pragmatic Play’s fault.
Besides my scathing condemnation of Pragmatic Play, this Eternal Empress - Freeze Time slot review will detail why they should stop making slot games ever again. This will involve the criticism of their software, the settings, the lack of gaming features, and the one bonus round. Backing my very valid words is the free demo slot itself. You can play this if you want to bore yourself into an early grave.
I would normally highlight that this game is available for real money, but that would be the equivalent of sending you outside to meet a firing squad. Either way, Casinos.com does provide players access to real money games that you can play with exclusive welcome bonus offers like free spins.

Now, despite being able to make some really dull games, Pragmatic Play knows what they are doing when it comes to design and animation. Eternal Empress - Freeze Time falls into the sci-fi genre and has elements of steampunk time travel stuff going on. The slot comes with a classic five-reel, three-row layout, and 243 ways to win. The Eternal Empress character is a babe, and kind of floats next to the game doing nothing.
I can think of 100 games that are better value for money, innovative, and entertaining that I’d rather play.
The best way to play this game is to actually not play it and just pretend that you did, and from it got much success. If, however, you want to waste the hours away, then load the slot and choose a betting value by pressing either the + or – buttons next to the spin button. Bets begin at $0.20 and rise to $100 per spin.
To start the game, press the spin button and the reels will begin to rotate. Winning comes from landing the same three or more symbols. These must land on adjacent reels with no gaps, starting with reel 1. This is how the game can provide players with 243 ways to win. The top symbols are the empress, the green-eyed thing, the purple orb, the ring, and the blue amulet. The symbols that payout less, are the 10, J, Q, K, and A.
This is the core of the gaming. You spin, you win, you lose, you try again. The functions are really no different from any other slots online. The game also comes with a special feature and a free spins bonus round.
Money Collection Feature: The Wild symbols of this game, also come as Money symbols. They can carry values that range between x1 and x250 your bet value. This feature also ties in with the Ruby symbol. It will only appear on reel 1 and reel 5. When this drops with a Wild, the values of all money showing are added and paid.
Free Spins Bonus: To play the bonus game, three or more scatter bonus symbols need to land after a spin. You will play with ten free spins in the bonus game, in which two special symbols appear. The Clock symbol appears on reel 1. The Padlock symbol appears on reel 5. Landing both of these symbols unlocks the Freeze Time bonus feature. With this feature, all money symbols lock on the reels till the end of the feature, thus accumulating wins. The spins played in Freeze Time do not come off your original Free Spins. The Freeze Time feature can be retriggered. The money symbols within the bonus range between x2 and x50.
When it comes to Pragmatic Play slots, I tend to go in cheap to avoid further disappointment. I find their games to be dull and repetitive, so I’m playing this with $1 bets and over 50 spins.
The first win is $0.40 and comes on spin three. The music does its best to add drama and grandeur but the gameplay is so dull that it fails. The next three wins amount to $1.30 and so far, I have played twenty spins.
The empress has yet to do anything and the game fifteen spins later I win the amounts of $1.30 and $0.40. At this point, I have lost interest, the remaining spins play out, and on the last spin lands four Ruby symbols and a Wild symbol. This results in a $6 win and I’m about as bothered as a corpse at its own funeral.
The Eternal Empress - Freeze Time slot game by Pragmatic Play comes with a maximum payout that is 4,888 times the bet value. If you bet at $100 per spin, that’s a jackpot of $488,800. The theoretical RTP score is 96.50%, and the volatility setting is at a high level.
Pragmatic Play slots are awful value for money and a $488,800 jackpot for $100 spins is laughable. The gameplay is lackluster and comes with no new ideas. I can think of 100 games that are better value for money, innovative, and entertaining that I’d rather play. So, in the great grand scheme of things I cannot for the life of me figure out why this game was made.
If you like the science genre in slot games, then I recommend you play the following three games instead. That way you can see for yourself how poor Eternal Empress - Freeze Time is.
