What Norsk Tipping Investigation Means for Players in Norway

Norsk Tipping, Norway’s state-owned gambling operator, is currently under scrutiny by the Norwegian Lottery Authority (Lotteritilsynet) amid allegations that minors may have been able to participate in gambling activities through their online casino platform. Typically There has been a monopoly on gambling for some time. It means that the marketplace is really only open to state-run outlets.  

Gambling is currently only legally provided by state monopolies Norsk Tipping and Norsk Rikstoto, which cover physical slots, lottery, online casinos, sports betting, and horse racing. 

As a result of the investigation, there is potential for enhanced security and monitoring. The investigation suggests that Norsk Tipping may need to strengthen its account verification processes.
