"Snooker player Mark King has told The Sun newspaper that his granny influenced his gambling.
"The snooker player who was banned for five years in 2023 for match-fixing told The Sun that he used to play games for money with his grandmother, and he liked to play slot machines as well as place bets on horse racing.

"The charges follow an extensive investigation into alleged cheating associated with bets placed on the timing of the upcoming 2024 general election, with the investigation having been launched in June 2024.
