Tulalip Casino Resort is one of the most prominent casino resorts in Washington state and is widely considered to be the best. Located just 30 minutes north of Seattle, off I-5 near Marysville, it is easily accessible for locals and visiting tourists.
Achieving a prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating for many years, Tulalip Casino Resort offers upscale accommodation, dining and spa services as well as one of the biggest tribal casino floors in the Pacific Northwest.
The gaming floor features over 2,000 slots, live table games, high limit gaming, a modern sportsbook and multiple dining areas. Tulalip is also known for its vibrant entertainment with an outdoor amphitheatre, ballroom and cabaret room providing regular live music.
Let’s take a closer look at this modern exciting casino resort from the Tulalip Tribe.
Tulalip Casino Resort is surprisingly easy to get to, with it being located just off the I-5. If you’re travelling from Seattle, take the I-5 North ramp toward Everitt, drive for around 30 miles and take the exit toward 88th St NE/Tulalip. If you’re travelling from Bellingham, head south on the I-5 for around 55 miles.
Once you take the 88th St NE/Tulalip exit then turn onto 88th St NE at the stop light, then take the first turn onto Quil Ceda Blvd, the resort is just along that road. Plus, there is plenty of free parking on site in the large parking garage.
The drive itself is actually really nice from whatever direction you’re travelling. From Seattle you can enjoy views of the Cascade Mountain; from Everitt you can catch scenic views of Snohomish River; and from Bellingham you can enjoy stunning views of the Puget Sound and coastal mountains, especially as you cross through Skagit Valley. This, for me, just adds to the visit, making it feel more like a trip than just a commute.
Public transport is a little harder to find, but there are Community Transit bus services from Marysville and Everitt and Sound Transit services from Seattle. The nearest train service is Amtrak with stations in Seattle and Everitt but nothing direct to Tulalip.
Walking into the Tulalip casino, I was immediately struck with the size of the gaming floor and the sheer amount of slots. At 270,000 square feet it is bigger than any Las Vegas casino floor I’ve been on. To put it into perspective, the biggest casino floor in Las Vegas is Fontainebleau at around 170,000 square feet.
The expanded gaming space was part of a major development announced to mark Tulalip's 20th Anniversary in 2023. Work started in 2024 and completed in the summer of 2025 adding an additional 70,000 square feet to the casino. Business must be booming, then!
Walking around, I couldn’t really detect a theme, but it definitely had that familiar tribal style coloring of earthy tones - browns, creams, reds and oranges on the resort side, rather than the casino side. The casino itself had a patterned red carpet, low lighting and modern finishing, especially around the bars and restaurants that surround it.
On my visit, the casino was really busy, and it had that familiar buzz of bells and whistles and bonus theme tunes playing in the background as every casino floor should. It had a nice energy about it. I think it also helped that the Tulalip casino floor is smoke-free, so it was a comfortable environment to sit and play.
In my opinion the table games area at Tulalip casino was a little underwhelming with around 38 tables. For a casino floor this size I would have expected that to be closer to 100, but presumably the demand for live dealer games is lower in Washington, than say, Las Vegas.
However, what they lack in quantity, they make up with quality, offering all the usual favorites of Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Baccarat plus lots of different variations.
The area, in general, was lively, and on my visit, over half of the tables were busy. I played a few hands of blackjack just to test it out, and it was fun. The dealer was professional, but not overly chatty, and the table cloth and chairs were well-maintained and of a high standard.
The minimum bet at my table was $10 and I did see quite a few tables at that level as well as some starting at $5 which is great value. I’m told on weekends the minimum bets can go up to $15 or $25 on some tables.
If you’re more of a high-stakes table games player, then you can head to the high limit salon. This has around 10 tables with limits starting from $50 - $100 upwards and it has its own VIP lounge too.
Here’s a brief summary of the table games I saw (although they can differ depending on when you visit):
If, like me, you’re a slot player, then Tulalip Casino Resort is our kind of place. There were slots as far as the eye could see, around 2,600 in total. Most of them were set out in rows of slot types, for example, a row of four Huff N’ Puff slots, followed by a row of four Mystery of the Lamp slots etc. Although it looked quite cool, it actually did feel quite cramped in some areas where it felt like they’d pushed in as many slots as possible.
Other areas of the casino, though, were more spacious with slots in triple banks with lots of free space around them. The chairs were standard leather and were comfortable to play in and looked well-maintained throughout. In fact, the whole slots area was clean and clutter-free so hats off to the cleaning team there.
I found so many of my go-to slot favorites including old classics and newly released games too. Well-known slot series such as Buffalo, Dancing Drums, Lightning Link and Prosperity Link were as popular as ever with eager playing spinning away. There was a good selection of old-school slots and video poker for players who prefer games with less frills.
As part of the most recent expansion, a high limit slots area is also now available. At around 4,000 square feet, there’s over 70 slots for players who enjoy high denomination games and higher stakes. If you gamble at $5 a spin or more, give it a shot for extra comfort.
The Draftkings sportsbook at Tulalip Casino Resort is a great space for watching and betting on sports. At around 5,000 square feet it’s right next door to the Blazing Paddles Pizza and Spirits bar and features an impressive 840 square feet LED wall and luxury lounge seating.
Whatever your favorite sports, you can bet on results, teams and leagues, including MLB, NHL, NBA and NFL. Wagers range from straight sports bets to parlays, under/overs, futures and prop bets and you can bet over the counter, at one of the kiosks or using the DraftKings mobile app.
If you love sports and sports betting then you’ll love the vibe here. It’s lively, with fans reacting to all the sports action on the screens and you can keep up with multiple games at once with odds boards, results and stats to keep you informed.
Tulalip uses the ONE Club rewards program across all three of their gaming properties - Tulalip Resort Casino, Quil Ceda Creek Casino and Tulalip Bingo & Slots.
It’s free to join, all you have to do is go along to one of the ONE Club desks at any of the resorts with photo ID or you can join online. Once a member, you can earn rewards points and comp dollars by playing slots and table games at any Tulalip Tribe resort.
Just make sure your rewards card is in use when you play. You can then redeem rewards points for slot freeplay and cashback and comp dollars can be used on dining, rooms and entertainment.
Becoming a member also means you’ll be eligible for bonus cash drawings and you’ll build up tier credits to increase your membership status level. With four levels (Red, Gold, Platinum and Black), the higher status you achieve, the more perks and VIP benefits you’ll receive. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth signing up for, especially if you’re a regular player.
Not many casinos have a 12-story AAA Four-Diamond luxury resort hotel attached to it, and that’s what makes Tulalip Resort Casino stand out.
With 370 guest rooms and suites, Tulalip resort is known for its spacious rooms, lavish interiors, up-scale furnishings and general impeccable standards. As well as the top quality accommodations, it also provides excellent amenities including a full service T-Spa, heated indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, and exceptional dining and entertainment options. Let’s take a look.
I stayed in a Deluxe King room which, at 500 square feet, was incredibly spacious. The quality was there right from the moment I stepped into the room. Everything from the decor, to the furniture, artwork, furnishings and cleanliness was top-notch. I particularly liked the bold colors, with crisp white bedding, flashes of red soft furnishings and warm dark wood finishing. It felt very luxurious.
With a floor-to-ceiling window letting in loads of light, my room had a King size bed, 55-inch HD TV, mini-fridgerator, work space, large wardrobe and a coffee maker. The bathroom was even more impressive, with a separate mirror and make-up area and adjustable body spray shower. The whole experience felt very VIP, even though I was in the basic room type.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone, the room was exceptional and it included high-speed complimentary wifi too. It actually surprised me how good it was.

Keep at eye on their website for the current entertainment schedule, some events are free while others have a cover charge.
I’m actually struggling to find fault with Tulalip Resort Casino in any way. If I’m being really picky, then I would have expected more live dealer tables, and some of the slots are positioned a bit too close to each other in my opinion. But that’s me deliberately looking for things to complain about.
Generally, I loved this property. The casino is huge and has a wide variety of games, especially slots, and the table minimums are affordable. It’s also smoke-free which is a big plus for me. The room was immaculate and really luxurious. The dining options are plentiful, the resort is clean and well-maintained, the decor is stylish and the amenities are great too. It’s even easy to drive to. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this casino, in fact, I’d like to go back myself.
