When it comes to the gaming, Bally's is the biggest of Newcastle's three casinos and it shows. It's less than half a mile from Newcastle Central Station and comes with a free car park. And that's always a welcome bonus in the city centre! 

The gaming floor spans around 25,500 square feet and features 45 gaming machines alongside a huge number of table and poker games, with two bars and two restaurants rounding things out. It's a venue with a warm, unpretentious character. I found the staff are particularly y friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. It has that distinctly local feel, something I appreciate even being a visitor from out of town myself. Now if you're after a lively, buzzing casino floor at peak hours, Bally's or Genting might edge it. But if you want a comfortable, welcoming night with solid gaming and a decent meal, Grosvenor delivers exactly what it promises. The pre-concert dinner package is a particularly smart way to kick off a night at the arena.
