bet365 is officially coming to Alberta.
On Friday, the gaming giant was added to Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis' (AGLC) list of registered iGaming operators.
This means bet365 will be able to accept real money wagers from within Alberta, when the province opens its regulated iGaming market on July 13.
As confirmed by the separate mentions of both Hillside (International Gaming) and Hillside (International Sports), two registered legal names for bet365, the operator will offer both casino and sports betting services to Albertan players.
Also included on the updated list is BetVictor, taking the official operator count from 28 to 31, after the likes of FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM and BetRivers were included on the initial AGLC list of brands that will open their doors on launch day.
Given that Ontario, Canada's only current legal iGaming market, has 44 operators with 77 different brands, more additions to the Alberta online casino list are expected before July 13.

For casino, bet365's Ontario portal offers around 2,000 different slot games, live casino titles, and all standard table games, with its progressive jackpot selection driving significant player volume.
bet365's Alberta portal is expected to offer a similar, if not identical, product.
Looking at sports, bet365's in-play betting options have helped solidify it as a major international betting force, with the UK-headquartered group hosting more than 1.38 million in-play sporting events a year.
While iGaming Ontario does not publish individual operator revenue figures, bet365 is widely regarded as a top-tier operator within the province.
In North America, the brand currently offers sports betting in 17 US states plus Ontario, and offers online casino in Ontario, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and most recently Michigan.
