What Is Payz (Formerly ecoPayz)?
Payz is an e-wallet for online payments.
You add money to your Payz account, pay online casinos from that balance, and get your withdrawals back into it.
Because you pay from your Payz balance, the casino doesn’t see your bank account or card details.
The service started as EcoCard in 2000, later became ecoPayz and rebranded as Payz in 2023.
Note: Your bank or card statement may list the charge as “IPS Solutions Ltd” instead of “Payz.” This is normal. Payz’s legal notice names IPS Solutions Ltd, a Cyprus-based company, as using the Payz brand.
Payz and ecoPayz Casinos in Canada: Where to Use Them
Payz is mostly offered by internationally licensed casinos serving players in provinces and territories outside Ontario and Alberta.
Availability has narrowed in recent years, so it is worth checking the cashier before you sign up.
Some casinos still list it as ecoPayz, and some show both names.
At regulated casinos in Ontario and Alberta, Payz is very uncommon.
Interac e-Transfer remains the standard option in both provinces. See our full guide to Canadian casino payment methods for every option we cover. To compare sites, see our list of trusted online casinos in Canada.
Payz Fees And Limits
| Item | What To Expect |
|---|---|
| Casino fees | Usually none |
| Account inactivity fee | EUR 1.50 per month |
| Currency conversion | 2.99% on Classic and Silver tiers, down to 1.25% on VIP |
| SEPA bank transfer withdrawal | EUR 5.90 (Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers) |
| Non-SEPA bank transfer withdrawal | EUR 10.00 (Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers) |
| Account limits | Depend on your account tier and verification level |
Fees improve at higher account tiers. Fees on small, frequent transactions can add up, so check Payz's current fee page and keep your account in Canadian dollars where you can.
Is Payz Safe?
Yes. Payz has been around since 2000 and is operated by an FCA-regulated company. Your card and bank details stay with Payz, not the casino, and your account is protected by verification checks, secure login and end-to-end encryption.
Remember that the casino needs to be safe too. Choose provincially regulated sites in Ontario and Alberta, or casinos with a recognized international licence elsewhere.
Bonuses At Payz Casinos
Payz deposits can qualify for welcome bonuses and other promotions, but e-wallet exclusions are common. Some casinos leave e-wallet deposits out of certain offers. Read the bonus terms before you deposit, and if an offer matters to you, check that Payz is eligible first.

Is Payz the same as ecoPayz?
Yes. ecoPayz rebranded as Payz in 2023. It is the same e-wallet with a new name and logo.
Can I still use my ecoPayz account?
Yes. Your existing ecoPayz login works with Payz. You do not need to open a new account.
Do casinos serving Canadian players accept Payz?
Some do, mostly internationally licensed casinos serving players outside Ontario and Alberta. It is uncommon at regulated Ontario casinos, about 2 of 32 at last check, and unclear at Alberta sites so far, so check the cashier.
How long do Payz casino withdrawals take?
Once the casino approves your request, the money is paid into your Payz wallet. Transferring it to your bank can then take a few business days, depending on the transfer method.
Are there fees for Payz casino payments?
Casinos rarely charge for Payz. Payz charges for account inactivity, currency conversion and bank withdrawals, with better rates at higher account tiers.
Do I have to withdraw to Payz if I deposited with it?
Usually, yes, where the casino supports Payz withdrawals. Casinos generally return money to the method you deposited with.
Is Payz safe to use at online casinos?
Yes. Payz is operated by an FCA-regulated company, and your bank and card details stay with Payz rather than the casino.
Can I claim casino bonuses with Payz?
Often, but not always. Some casinos exclude e-wallet deposits from certain promotions, so check the bonus terms before you deposit.
