When Red Tiger released the first Wild Hot Chilli Reels back in 2021, it seemed like the developer had given up on the effort of making games that year. So, with some time having passed, things can be reflected upon. Red Tiger returns with the sequel and the aptly named title Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2.
I have not played the game or seen it yet, but Wild Hot Chilli Reels was so poor that I have the fullest confidence that Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 will be a far superior slot machine. I will be your guide throughout this review and will share all software and gaming intel.
Meanwhile, should the boredom of reading creep in, the free demo of Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 is available for you to play. However, there is a catch. The game and hundreds of others are only free to players who can be bothered to make a free and secure Casinos.com account. Not only will you get free casino games, but you can also access top casino sites and exclusive free bonus offers.

The Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 slot introduces itself with a flamboyant opening sequence. The design on the other side of this is pretty much the same as the first game. Yeah, this has really cheesed me off. Now, call me Mr. Fussy, but I get the like for nostalgic-looking games, but all I ask is for the features to be more up-to-date. What killed the last game, was that it was too nostalgic, too old-school.
All that Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 offers is three rows, five reels, and 243 ways to win. I really cannot add more to this as there is nothing exciting about what I am witnessing.
Like the first slot, there is absolutely nothing about Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 that gets my mojo mojoing.
Begin Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 by selecting the value that you will bet per spin. On the Stake tab, you have a minus and a plus button, use these to cycle through the values for what it costs to play a single spin on this slot. The minimum bet is $0.20 and it climbs to a maximum betting value of $80.
Once you have settled on an amount that suits your budget, you can now begin to play the game for real money payouts. Press the yellow spin button to start the spinning of the five reels. Once they stop, the result of your bet is confirmed. Wins are produced by landing matching symbols, three or more across adjacent reels, going from left to right. The more you align, the more you win. This is a slot that pays homage to the old-time fruit machines. The symbols that pay the most are the 7, bell, horseshoe, and BAR. The lower symbols are the lemon, orange, plum, and cherries.
This is the gameplay at its most basic.
Does Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 come with the same, almost non-existent features as the first slot? Well, yes. In fact, I may as well tell you now that this is more of an update of the first game rather than it being a new game altogether. Here are the limited features present.
Should a Chilli land on the reels, it will instantly expand to a fully stacked Chilli Wild that takes up the full reel. This wild then locks in place and you will get a respin. If you were to land another Hot Chilli symbol, the respin feature continues.
Like the first slot, there is absolutely nothing about Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 that gets my mojo mojoing. And yes, mojoing is a word that is solely used by groovy people like me. Because this game is a mild update of the first, I only decided to play the game with my bets set to $1 per spin. The slot also comes with an autoplay option, I use this and select to play fifty auto-spins.
The game begins and the first win is $3.60 thanks to the Hot Chilly Wild feature. Next, four cherries win me $0.40. about six spins later, another Hot Chilli Wild wins me $1.60. beyond this feature, there game has no redeeming value. A few wins here and there come in $3.60 again, $1.20, $0.30, and so on. Yes, the hit rate is actually quite good, but ultimately the gameplay is dull and lifeless.
A $9 win comes in with the Wild Chilli feature and winning $4 on the respin, but by now, the feature offers no excitement. With the fifty spins over, I and $15 away from breaking even, so nothing to cash out this time.
The Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2 slot by Red Tiger comes with a medium volatility setting, which was evident in my experience. The Return to Player rating is 95.71%., which is an average score. The maximum payout is 1,164 times the player's betting value. If you play the maximum $80 per spin, you’ll be playing for a $93,120 jackpot.
Okay, the most important factor about why this game sucks, is its value for money, to play $80 spins and not even win more than $100,000 is daylight robbery. There are hundreds of games online that are far better than Wild Hot Chilli Reels 2, which offers you a lower maximum bet and returns four or five times the jackpot value. Just this alone should be enough to avoid this game. Sure, the volatility is good and the only good thing about it. But with so little to the dynamics of gameplay, it is just not worth anyone’s time playing this very timid slot machine.
If you want to play something that has more value for money and actually has a bit of energy about it, then here are three games with the same kind of theme, that I recommend you play.
