In 2019, Pragmatic Plat released their first game in the series of The Dog House. We are now presented with the fourth game called The Dog House - Dog or Alive. In this review, you will learn of my first-hand experience with this game, and you’ll learn about how The Dog House - Dog or Alive performs, how it plays, what bonuses there are, and what can be won.
This review also provides you with a free-to-play demo of The Dog House - Dog or Alive slot. You, too, can enjoy the experience and play the slot from your mobile without any need to download new software. If you enjoy playing The Dog House - Dog or Alive, Casinos.com will help guide you to the best casino sites where you can play this, as well as many more games by Pragmatic Play for real money.

The Dog House - Dog or Alive is a simple online slot machine to play. When you load the game, be sure to adjust the bet value that you’ll be paying per spin. As with all Pragmatic Play slot games, The Dog House - Dog or Alive defaults at a $2 per spin cost. The prices do range from a minimum play of $0.20 to a max bet of $240. When you have selected your amount, press the spin button to begin the game.
Winning is formed across paylines, and there are 20 patterns in this game. There needs to be a minimum of 3 matching symbols on a payline to produce a win. The maximum is 5 symbols. For this game, there are 6 main high-valued symbols, they include the 4 dogs, the blue collar, and the bone. The low-valued symbols are made up of A, K, Q, J, and 10.
These are the basics of the game, but the action doesn’t end there because The Dog House - Dog or Alive comes with a Free Spins Bonus Round.
In the game, there is a special Bonus symbol, which is depicted by an open safe. If you land the 3 bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, you will activate the Free Spins bonus. You will play a mini-game beforehand to reveal how many bonus free spins you play.
The mini-game is played on a 3x3 slot grid and will spin each reel to produce a number. The numbers range from 1 to 3. The numbers are added together at the end, and this is the number of free spins you play with in the main bonus round.
During the main round of play, there are sticky wilds that help to boost wins. These sticky wilds also come with multiplier values. When you land 3 wilds, then 6, and then 9, at each stage, you are awarded 3 more free spins. Also, at each phase of landing these wilds, the multipliers will increase in value.
I have to say that this is impressive. There is nothing duller than a basic round of free spins. This, however, takes the concept to a whole new level of entertainment and opportunity. With all this said, you can play in the bonus round without having to land bonus symbols within the game. The Dog House - Dog or Alive comes with a Bonus Buy feature that lets you skip the main game and head directly into the bonus round. The cost of the Bonus Buy feature is 100 times the value of what you are paying per spin. It’s risky, but then so is walking out in front of a bus.
Of the games released for The Dog House slot series, this is by far my favorite. The game looks great, and the bonus round (which I tried in its demo mode) plays fantastically. If you want to try the other games in the series, then Casinos.com has the original The Dog House, plus The Dog House Multihold and The Dog House Megaways as free demos you can play.
