Breaking news, people! Hacksaw Gaming has made its first online slot designed around Greek mythology. As you will have seen from the bold black font above, the title is Strength of Hercules. Now, while all this is very new and exciting, I must see if this change in direction still comes with all the same hallmarks of a Hacksaw Gaming slot.
I will discuss the game's design, features, setting, and performance. I will also share my experience once I have played the game for real money. A free slots demo is available. This slot is one of thousands of free demo games you can play right here with a Casinos.com membership (which is also free).

When it comes to slot design and animation, Hacksaw Gaming is in the top five, no doubt about it. However! [the reviewer proclaimed] When it comes to all other matters of development, they seem only to know one recipe for how to make slot machines.
Strength of Hercules has all the hallmarks of a Hacksaw Gaming slot. The audio is atmospheric, including bird songs, the soft breeze of the wind, and the movement of the gaming character, who may or may not be responsible for the breezy wind.
The slot is between Hercules and some random snake. It has five rows and five reels and offers up to 3,125 ways to win.
Despite not excelling in financial gain with Strength of Hercules, it’s nice to see Hacksaw Gaming try something different.
First, select the price of your bet. Bets are paid per spin, choosing the value comes from the price listing that can be found by pressing either the – or + buttons. The cost of a bet runs through various prices, starting at $0.10 and rising to a max bet price of $100.
With your bet selected, you can begin playing. Press the spin button and the reels will… wrong! They won’t spin; they fall off the gaming grid as new symbols drop into it. To win, you must land between three and five of the same symbols, which must drop across adjacent reels with no gaps. The more you match, the more you win. Once the outcome of your bet is revealed, you then make the choice whether to repeat the process where you will either win or lose again or quit the game.
Now, on to the next stage of this review, not long till the end, I promise… the Features and Bonuses!
Here's an overview of the Strength of Hercules slot bonus features:
This incredible feature that is rarely used in the industry makes an appearance here. When landing the RotoGrid symbol, the slot layout will rotate one to three rotations in a clockwise direction. These symbols are collected by the RotoGrid meter. Plus, the RotoGrid symbols will transform into wild symbols. It is possible to land more than one symbol, and in such cases, each one will play out in turn.
Do you remember all that negative stuff I said about Hacksaw Gaming at the start of the review? Well, can I surprise you? Having seen what features Strength of Hercules provides, I’ve changed my mind. I am not convinced that this is the best game they have produced to date, and I am about to find out.
I loaded the Greek mythology slot, selected my $2 bet, and play 50 auto-spins. Here are the results…
The gameplay in auto mode was incredibly fast. The first wins came on spins eight and nine. Then, five more landed within the following ten spins. The hit rate was quite moderate, but after 30 spins, no additional feature had been activated.
It took till spin 38 to land the first RotoGrid, and with three spins left, the RotoGrid struck again, along with the Might of Hercules feature. Sadly, it was all a little too late. I didn't win enough to be able to cash out.
The Strength of Hercules slot from Hacksaw Gaming has an RTP score of 96.31% and a medium to high volatility setting. The maximum payout is 10,000 times the player’s betting price. If you bet at $100 per spin, the winnable jackpot becomes $1,000,000.
Despite not excelling in financial gain with Strength of Hercules, it’s nice to see Hacksaw Gaming try something different. For this alone, I recommend playing this slot, and you can test the free demo right here. If you liked the demo slot or hated it, let me know in the comments.
Here are some alternative games you might like to try in top casinos if you like crazy in-play features like the RotoGrid.
