Slots and magic go together like bread and butter. Whether it’s wizards or witches, players are compelled to play magic-themed slots. You’ll be compelled to play Lucky Cauldron, too, an Iron Dog Studio slot that puts you in a position to craft a magic brew. For good things, of course.
This isn’t just another witch-themed slot. It’s a brew with fantastic winning potential despite the classic specs. The action takes place on a 3x3 grid in the form of a cauldron with a single payline. Special mystery symbols lift the veil to reveal cash or jackpot symbols, or the collectors, which bring all values together.
There’s a spell book symbol that pays as well, and special collector-carved pumpkins for a real trick and treat. Read my Lucky Cauldron review below, then try the slot at the top online casinos with Iron Dog Studio slot games.

Lucky Cauldron is quite the looker and charmer. The slot’s grid is made in the shape of a cauldron which is smart considering the name. The background shows a wall and a witch’s hat and broom, so it probably takes place in the cellar of a witch’s house.
The layout is straightforward and easy to read. You have the controls beneath the reels for easy access across all devices. Visually, Iron Dog Studio has done a great job with this slot. It looks great, and the animations are smooth, with the symbol designs being a particular standout. A mysterious and brooding soundtrack in the background perfectly pairs with the theme, making Lucky Cauldron one of the better-looking magic slots I’ve seen.
Lucky Cauldron is a fun game for anyone who likes magic and witches as the main theme.
Before you embark on this magic adventure, you will need to place a bet. Choose from 10c to $25 per spin, then click on spin to start. As mentioned earlier, the slot has a 3x3 setup with one payline. It’s highlighted in the middle, where you can land three identical symbols for a win.
Those symbols may include the jackpot books, which pay 20x-50x for a win. This isn’t a typical online slot with premiums and card royals. Except for the books, all other symbols are feature symbols. The green cash symbols land with a value that can only be collected by the collector. If there’s no collector, some of them contribute to the pot above the reels. While on the subject of this pot, it features four fixed jackpots, which can be won during the Hold & Win feature.
From time to time, a random coin shower may occur. This will add coins on the grid and potentially trigger the Hold & Win feature.
Mystery symbols can reveal cash coins or jackpots but have no value when they land on the board. In order to trigger the Hold & Win feature naturally, you will have to fill the middle reel horizontally.
There are no free spins offers in the Lucky Cauldron online slot, but there is an interesting Hold & Win feature. As mentioned, you need to fill the highlighted horizontal reel with symbols to trigger it. It plays in the usual way, with some improvements. Special cash and sticky cash symbols can now land with values, and they’re collected by the special pumpkin collector.
The special sticky cash symbols are persistent and stay on the reels until the end of the feature. Regular mystery and jackpot mystery symbols can land too. They turn into random cash symbols or jackpot books at the end of the feature.
As always, you start with three respins, with all new symbols turning sticky and resetting the respins back to three. You have a respins counter beneath the reels that makes keeping track easy. During the feature, there’s a chance that a multiplier is applied per position. The cauldron acts as a placeholder – if a cash symbol lands in it, the multiplier is applied.
Moreover, the multiplier starts at x2 and keeps building if a new symbol lands in the same spot. The multiplier cap is x16, which can contribute to some nice wins.
There are two bonus buy options. The first one is a regular Hold & Win feature and costs 30x total bet. The second costs 75x and comes with guaranteed multiplier positions.
I was impressed by the visuals and the promise of big wins in the Lucky Cauldron slot, so I decided to give it a try. Initially, I started with a default bet of $1. I didn’t hit any big wins during the base game. In fact, the slot holds those off until the Hold & Win feature. Since it didn’t come after 30+ spins, I decided to buy the one with guaranteed multipliers.
It ended prematurely due to my misfortune, but the multipliers still resulted in a 44x haul. I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t hit more respins, but overall, it was a decent experience, if a bit on the losing side.
Lucky Cauldron is a highly volatile slot game with an RTP of 95.11%. The RTP jumps up to 95.55% when you use the buy bonus option. In terms of winning potential, it’s capped at 10,000x the total bet.
Lucky Cauldron is a fun game for anyone who likes magic and witches as the main theme. The lack of more winning ways limits its potential, in my opinion. The base game didn’t produce any significant wins, and the Hold & Win feature ended a bit too early in my case.
But there’s no denying the great win potential, so it’s a slot I can recommend, even if you’re only appealed by the graphics. Come for the visuals, and stay for the magic brew.
Looking for more magic-themed slot action? I can recommend trying Pragmatic Play’s Voodoo Magic, even if it’s a spookier slot than this one. For a more light-hearted slot, you can try High 5 Games’ Witches Riches at the top online casinos.
