Play’n GO making a slot game about Egyptian gods; say it isn’t so. Well, it would seem it is so. It’s the very reason why I’m here; you’re here, and my grandmother is too.
Say hi.
She says hi.
So, another pharaoh fantasy hits the casinos this summer and is likely to be one of several hundred at this rate. The question is, will it stand out and entertain, and why is my nan here?
To answer such questions, I play the game in my online casino. This review will detail gameplay features, design, and programming.
I will also discuss the software and what players can win if they venture into the top online casinos. At these casinos, you can play King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods by Play’n GO for real money.

It’s not exactly a shocker to learn that another Egypt-themed casino game has launched. I did have hopes that King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods would be something different, but we don’t always get what we want.
So, what do we all get from this game? Starting with the game board, the title presents a classic 5-reel layout with three rows. There are also 20 paylines to win on. The grid is set in some room that overlooks a giant pyramid, which is obscured by the slot anyway.
The features are good, and for the bonus game, it’s great that you can pick what features to use during the round. But ultimately, there is no real innovation. It’s a game you will see a hundred times over, and it’s a shame it's so basic.
Tragically, King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods is a very, very basic game with little to it. Once the game is up and running in your top casino online, the first important step is to set the betting value before you spin the reels.
The cost of play is per spin, and the values start at $0.20 and rise to a maximum betting cost of $100. Use the – and + buttons on the control panel to set your bet. With this ready, you can select the green spin button to initiate the game round.
To win, you must land the same symbols on any of the 20 paylines. Four or five Scatter symbols return the most. Next in line are two or more Wild symbols. Of the ‘basic’ symbols, you have the three God symbols, the flower and the ankh, which are the higher-valued symbols. Below this, the 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A make up the lower-paying symbols.
Playing King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods is simply a matter of clicking that spin button repeatedly to win as much as you possibly can. You’ll end by either winning enough or not winning at all.
During game time, King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods will reveal some special features. Called Wild Features, these unlock an eclipse mode to award you three re-spins. During this event, three kinds of Wild Features can appear.
Sticky Wilds: This feature remains in play throughout all your re-spins.
Walking Wilds: This Wild Feature will move to the right with each re-spin played.
Multiplier Wilds: This Wild comes with a x2 multiplier which doubles all wins it’s involved in.
Free Spins Bonus: Land three or more bonus scatter symbols to receive ten free spins. You will get your choice of the three Wild Features to be part of your bonus game.
It’s hard to find Egyptian slots that break the mold. Many developers play it safe, and Play’n GO’s King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods is one of these examples.
I played the game with my bet set at $1.60 and played 50 spins. With my first spin, I landed three scatter symbols. This is the best game ever! I chose the Multiplier Wild Feature so that any win with it is double. It wasn’t until spins 5, 6, and 7 that the Wilds took effect, and at the end of the bonus, I won $15.44.
With my remaining 49 spins, I activated the Sticky Wild Re-Spin, which returned a win of $9.28. At this point, so far, so good, but the gameplay is just so basic. With 20 spins remaining, I call quits and cash out $6.24. It’s about knowing when to end on a high.
The RTP score from King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods is 96.29%. The volatility is high, which is surprising, given how favorable it seemed to play with me. The jackpot to this game is 20,000x the player's bet. So, if you gamble at $100 per spin, the payout comes in at $2,000,000, which is actually great value for money.
The King’s Mask Eclipse of Gods slot by Play’n GO is a game with very little entertainment to offer. The features are good, and for the bonus game, it’s great that you can pick what features to use during the round. But ultimately, there is no real innovation. It’s a game you will see a hundred times over, and it’s a shame it's so basic.
