Greetings, one and all, to another highly anticipated slot review of doom and terror. The game on the lips of players this Halloween is Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion by Light & Wonder. I invite you to join me along with my special guest, known to some as the Master of the Macabre, and to others, as the Dude from the Dead. Ladies and gentlemen, I present… Jack O’Potts.
[Canned Audience Applause]
Stop!
Thank you.
Yes, we’ll be teaming up to take on certain tasks involving the knees and divulging the intricate details of this game’s features, mechanics, shoe size, and performance. Though not necessarily in that order. We implore you to stick around for the rest of the review, though by now you’ve perhaps smelt the free demo game and are already bloated from over-playing the slot. While I get the instruments to de-bloat you, here’s a word from our guest player.

Welcome, mere mortals, to another Halloween slot review. This time, taking on the hideous form of Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion by Light & Wonder. The series, based on the tale of Three Little Pigs with a long-standing grudge against a homeless wolf, continues in an even more evil and twisted manner. Join me, the Dude from the Dead, as I visit the Haunted Mansion to see if I can Huff N’ Puff my way to a big win.
The Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion slot RTP is 96%, and it uses a medium volatility setting to determine the frequency at which wins land. With a medium setting, the ratio between wins and losses should be nearly evenly balanced.
The slot plays with a grid layout of five reels and three rows, with up to 234 ways to win. By landing matching symbols in adjacent reels, you could win up to 5,600x your bet. The cost of bets starts at $0.20 and rises to $200. However, casinos can reduce the max bet value and the RTP levels, so check before you play. If you can spin $200 a go, then the jackpot becomes $1,120,000.
The Huff N’ Puff Haunted Mansion slot by Light & Wonder contains loads of in-play features that may help you to win more money. These features include Frames, Coffin Prizes, the Haunted Mansion feature, the Torch-Up feature, the Pumpkin feature, and the Free Spins bonus. However, it doesn’t come with a Bonus Buy option.
This like-for-like reskin of Huff N’ Puff Money Mansion is easily the worst game I have played this year. The paytable alone says everything you need to know about the quality of this game. It’s pretty poor form from the Light & Wonder studio. To have such awful winning returns is staggering. Boooooo! (As in disapproval, not as in a ghost trying to scare someone.)
Well, this is embarrassing. I spent the last 10 minutes trying to fix the sound on my device to discover this slot is purposefully void of any noise. There is no music, no spooky atmosphere. The sound only kicks in when symbols land.
Well, after five spins at $1 a spin, I’m still awaiting any signs of life in this Halloween slot. Well, it takes until the tenth spin for a win to drop, and it’s an unimpressive $0.40. Hang on, the game doesn’t even make any noise when you win.
I think I’ve become more deaf just by playing this game. Hang on, is it me or is it the game…hmm.
[Jack O’Potts exits the review, drives to the nearest Audiologist, performs a series of tests, and, after an hour, is told there is nothing wrong with his hearing. He thanks the specialist, leaves, and drives back to enter the review and continue playing.]
Spin eleven results in the next win, be it only $0.25. On the seventeenth spin, $0.40 makes an appearance, but by now, I’m already questioning why I’m still playing this game. The hit rate is awful, the gameplay is worse, and taking the crown for worst feature is unquestionably the sound or lack thereof.
Spin eighteen produces a win of $0.60, and this is a double win from five top-paying symbols and a wild. How are the returns so low? Ah, here we go. Checking the paytable, I see the massive flaw in this game. I’m betting $1 per spin, and the only way to make gains would be to land five Frankenstein Piggy symbols, and that would only pay out $1.50. Every other symbol that lands, no matter how many, the winning returns are less than the bet value.
Right, I’ve seen enough. I’m outta here. I’m now deaf and out of money. The verdict is simple. Avoid this game like the plague!
