Egyptian slots are among the oldest and most popular themes in the slot industry. Almost all developers have such a slot in their portfolios, including the Skywind Group. The studio’s horse in this race is Egyptian Mystery, a Slot Factory game that doesn’t feature many mysteries but offers decent winning opportunities.
It’s all about ancient Egypt and its deities in this one. The slot game has low volatility and up to 1,024 ways to win. The reels are filled with many ancient Gods, including Osiris, the god of Rebirth. He can bless you with luck that may hopefully lead to big wins down the stretch.
Playing the slot is easy, with only slight differences between it and Book of… slots. You get stacks up to three symbols high at any point during the game and up to three different symbols with the same feature in the bonus round. Read my Egyptian Mystery review and see if you can crack it at the top online casinos with Skywind titles.

The Egyptian Mystery slot looks amazing for an Egyptian title. It has a 5x3 setup, with the reels set against a temple in the Valley of the Kings. The reels are filled with ancient gods that pay more than the hieroglyphs; some land up to three symbols high. These expanding symbols are key to winning big in the base game and later in the bonus round.
Slot Factory has done a great job with the visuals. The characters' light-hearted appearance adds a layer of fun. The visuals are accompanied by matching audio, which keeps the action going.
It doesn’t offer anything new to the genre, with the stacked symbols and free spins swaps being the only features.
Playing the Egyptian Mystery online slot is no mystery at all. It has a straightforward setup with a strip of controls beneath the reels. You can change your bets from the green button in the left corner of the screen, choosing between 20c and $40 per spin. Hit the big spin button on the opposite side when you’re ready to start.
All wins pay left to right and require three or more matching symbols in adjacent positions. The gods and goddesses can land as stacked symbols, possibly appearing in three-symbol stacks. However, that only happens in the bonus round.
The base game offers straightforward action, where you can only land wins if you match the correct symbols. Wilds can step in to replace symbols in winning combinations, which links wins together.
You need three or more free spins symbols anywhere on the screen to trigger the bonus round. In the bonus, up to three stacked symbols can appear to fill a reel. When you’re done with your free spins, there’s a choice to be made. You can replay a new set of spins or keep what you’ve won and go back to the base game.
You need to think carefully about this choice, as you may not get so lucky the second time. There are no scatters during the bonus round, which means you can’t retrigger it. You can’t buy the bonus round.
Egyptian Mystery was an okay slot, in my experience. It doesn’t offer anything new to the genre, with the stacked symbols and free spins swaps being the only features. I started spinning with a bet of $1, and I have to say that the base game didn’t offer any meaningful returns.
Getting to the bonus round was a challenge despite the low volatility. It took over 50 spins, and my first playthrough wasn’t that rewarding. What I loved about this is that you get to replay the bonus round just like I did. It improved on my original score, but not by too much. However, having a replay option is a rare sight, and a feature that I appreciate.
Egyptian Mystery is a low volatile slot game with an RTP of 96.02%. The maximum win is capped at $500,000.
If you like Egyptian slots, you’ll love the straightforward gameplay Egyptian Mystery offers. There’s no mystery to solve here, but the effortless gameplay and the choice to replay the free spins round may be worth your while.
With that being said, there are more rewarding and unique ancient Egypt slots out there. I suggest trying Valley of the Gods 2 or Cygnus and its sequels, both available at the top casino sites.
