What would you say if your government offered you a chance to win 100 prizes in partnership with a casino?

The Government of Macau has launched an innovative initiative in collaboration with local casinos to attract tourism, introducing the ‘Experience Macao Limited Edition’ International Promotional Campaign.

This campaign, unveiled on August 26, offers participants a chance to win 100 prizes by answering daily questions about Macau until October 17.

The unlikely partnerships see tourism authorities teaming up with gaming operators to produce experience-based promotions for international tourists.

Luxury Prizes on Offer

The tantalising offer includes an interactive online game that features lavish experiences such as hotel stays, round-trip air tickets, and dining at Michelin-starred restaurants. It is aimed at attracting more visitors to Macau in the second half of 2024.

Unlike Las Vegas, Macau is famous for table games, particularly baccarat, which appeals to both high roller and casual players. With the opening of competition in 2002, major casino operators have established luxurious resorts.

Beyond gaming, Macau offers a rich blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, with historic sites that earned it UNESCO World Heritage status in 2005. Visitors can enjoy stunning architecture and exquisite cuisine, making Macau a must-visit destination.

Asia’s Premier Gaming Destination

Macau, known as the world leader in gaming revenue, draws nearly 30 million visitors annually, generating over CAD $60 billion. The region has transformed into Asia’s premier gaming destination, thanks to its unique position as a Special Administrative Region of China since 1999.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
