You’d be forgiven for thinking that pretty much all Irish online casino promos are the same. A boring old match bonus. But if I can tell you one thing about Casino and Friends, it’s that this site is far from boring.
The bonuses here are much more likely to take the form of free spins, rather than a deposit match. And I know what you’re thinking: ‘Isn’t that worse?’ The answer is no, because free spins not only give you the chance to win real money, but you’ll also get to sample an exciting game that you may not have played before.
The minimum deposit amount for Casino and Friends offers is usually pretty low, at €10. Unfortunately, there are a couple of little red flags about the Casino and Friends welcome offers. For example, they usually carry 60x wagering requirements, which is very high. And in general only slots contribute towards wagering.
When I joined Casino and Friends, the welcome promo was refreshingly straightforward. I unlocked a bundle of free spins by making my first deposit. That’s it.
That may sound disappointing to some, but I was pretty chuffed with what I got. My spins were ready to play as soon as I made my first deposit of €10 or more. They were to play on Book of Dead, a personal favourite. The only downside was that 60x wagering requirement, which is sky high.
As I mentioned, Casino and Friends is known for generous free spins bonuses. And not just as part of the welcome package. For example, you might be looking at up to 125 free spins, just for making a €10+ deposit! And if you’re worried that you might not like the free spins games, fear not. They’re almost always awarded on a really popular slots, so I can guarantee you’ll have fun while trying for a win.
Casino and Friends know how to reward loyalty, so there are six different levels in their scheme. And you can make your way up the ladder just by playing. The top two levels are by invitation only, so you’ll need to be quite the high roller to get in there.
Points are weighted, depending on the games you play. So, for example you need to wager €0.50 on slots to earn one point, while €2.50 on certain table games like craps also earns you one point. Not great for fans of table games, but I can get past that. As you get higher up on the loyalty ladder, you can look forward to exclusive promos, special events, and account management.
The promos I found at Casino and Friends tend to be subject to 60x wagering requirements. That worries me a little. I prefer to see offers with 30x wagering or less. Because the higher the wagering requirements, the harder it is to meet them without losing your money and being left with nothing to withdraw. I also wasn’t particularly happy that only slots contribute towards wagering on the welcome bonus. What if I wanted to play table games?
Whenever I review an online casino, my main focus is the games. So I was a little surprised to see that there are only 194 options at Casino and Friends. Luckily, they’re all high-quality games from major providers. Slots? Tick. Live casino games? Tick. Jackpots? Tick.
There’s a table games section in the Casino and Friends lobby, but unfortunately live casino games are mixed in with virtual ones, making it a little more difficult to browse. The table games section is lacking a little, and in the future I’d love to see more options added. For now, two of my recommendations are Baccarat by Edict, and Tropical Stud Poker.
A couple of hundred slots sure isn’t a bad selection. There are definitely titles you’ll recognise here, like Big Bass Splash and Book of Dead, plus slots with tons of exciting features like Cash Collect and Fire Blaze. But the real show stoppers? The progressive jackpots, of course. You can try your hand at the Age of the Gods games, or have a go at the Jackpot King series.
The only disappointment for me was that I didn’t come across any exclusive slots. But maybe in the future, right? One can dream.
For now, a few of my top selections include:
After being disappointed with the virtual table games, I was holding my breath when I went to check on the live dealer tables. But - phew - there are lots of them! The tables come from providers like Playtech and Evolution Gaming, and thanks to HD streaming and real-time video, it feels like being in a real casino. Without all the effort of having to get there.
While you might be tempted to stick with classic games like roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, I’d suggest getting a little more adventurous. Why not try out a gameshow? Or a unique twist on your favourite game? Here are my top suggestions:
I have banking apps, music apps, and apps for literally everything else. So why wouldn’t I have online casino apps too? Well, quite a lot of new online casinos have decided to forsake apps in favour of mobile websites. But Casino and Friends didn’t do that! There’s a downloadable app for iOS and Android, and it’s safe enough to say the experience is even a little better than desktop. You can deposit and withdraw, claim promos, and play the full range of games, just like you’d do on your computer.
Casino and Friends plays host to games from all the main providers. I’d really like to see an extra feature added, to filter games by provider. But for now, you’ll just have to search by name. Top providers here include Play’n GO, Playtech, Evolution Gaming, and NetEnt.
Playtech is one of the biggest providers at Casino and Friends, and if you’re into jackpots, this is definitely a studio you’ll love. Try out the Age of the Gods series for your chance at four different progressives!
NetEnt is another provider to look towards, especially if you’re looking for simple, high quality games. Starburst is a great example of that, and now it even has its own spinoffs!
I was pretty impressed with the range of payment methods at Casino and Friends. Just like most Irish players, I usually use my bank card (often Revolut) at online casinos, but nonetheless I was pleased to see that e-wallets like PayPal and Skrill are accepted too. For mobile players, you’ll probably opt for Apple Pay, which is super convenient.
If you’ve gotten lucky, you’ll want your cash ASAP, but Casino and Friends usually takes a day or two to approve the withdrawal. I also noticed that bank transfers are subject to a €10 withdrawal fee, so try to avoid that if you can!
By now it’s probably time to check out the Casino and Friends experience for yourself. Here’s how you do it:
A unique feature I noticed here is that if you already have an account with another SkillOnNet casino, you can use the quick registration process, which only needs your email address and phone number.
Casino and Friends is allowed to operate here in Ireland for one simple reason - the site holds a valid license from the Malta Gaming Authority, under the number MGA/CRP/171/2009/01. That basically just means that the site is legit, and it’s safe for you to play there. As part of the licensing requirements, Casino and Friends has to verify your identity, but that’s actually a good thing - it keeps you safe.
And you’re probably wondering if you even have a real chance at winning? The good news is yes, all of the games have been tested and audited for fairness, so you’ll have a fair chance of winning every time you spin.
Casino and Friends will let you start playing as soon as you sign up, but the site is required to verify your identity before you can withdraw. You can head to the “Personal Area” in the menu when you’re logged in, and upload your ID and proof of address documents directly. The team will get in touch if there are any issues, or if they need more docs.
I was impressed to see that during the sign up process, I was asked if I wanted to set deposit limits. That was a good indication of just how thorough the site is when it comes to responsible play. There’s also the option to set a game status reminder or time limit, and if you really feel the need to block access to your account, you can self-exclude.
Have you ever found yourself playing at an online casino in the evening, and needed help, but support had logged off for the night? There’s no danger of that here at Casino and Friends, because live chat is available from 6am to midnight. They’re not sleeping on the job either - I gave live chat a try and was connected to a helpful operator pretty much immediately. You can also send the team an email if you prefer.
There’s a small FAQs section, but it doesn’t go into much detail about any topics, so I’d probably skip it entirely, and just get in touch directly via live chat.
There were a couple of things that immediately impressed me about the Casino and Friends experience. The first was that even after you’ve used up your welcome bonus, you can still come back every day to claim new offers like free spins or deposit bonuses. There’s no better way to keep topping up your balance! I was also pleased to see a mobile app, as it’s not something you see a whole lot of nowadays, when most casinos are concentrating more on the browser-based site.
There are a couple of downsides to the Casino and Friends experience, but don’t let them put you off playing. Yes, it would be good to have some extra table games, but the live dealer offering makes up for it. More slot games would never go amiss, but for now you can enjoy everything from brand new releases to progressive jackpots.
But why take my word for it? You can give Casino and Friends a try for yourself, right now. Don’t forget, when you sign up using a link on this page, I’ll make sure you get the welcome bonus, which is likely to be a big batch of free spins on a top game.
While the offering at Casino and Friends is quite similar to other Irish online casinos, one thing really stood out for me: the Daily Picks. As a big fan of promos, I was thrilled to see that you can come back every day to check out what’s new. You might get free spins, a deposit match, or who knows what else.
The minimum deposit amount at Casino and Friends is €10, and it applies to all payment methods. It’s a good idea to double check the minimum deposit amount if you’re going to be claiming a promo though - some offers need a bigger deposit.
The Casino and Friends payment times are pretty standard for Irish gambling sites. It takes between one and two working days for the site to approve your withdrawal, and then it depends on your payment provider. So e-wallet withdrawals will be quicker than bank cards.
Casino and Friends is licensed by the online gambling body that I trust the most - the Malta Gaming Authority. You can be totally certain that your data is protected, your money is in good hands, and you actually have a chance of winning whenever you play.
The main thing you need to know is that Casino and Friends has a license from the Malta Gaming Authority. That means you’re guaranteed a safe experience where your money will be protected, and you’ll have an actual chance of winning.
The minimum amount you can withdraw from Casino and Friends is €20 at a time. But watch out if you’re using a bank transfer - you’ll be charged a fee of €10 every time! Rather use a different method, which doesn’t have fees.
The best way to get in touch with the Casino and Friends team is using live chat, which you can access once you’ve logged into your account. While it’s not 24/7, the team is available from 6am to midnight every day, to help with your queries.
