Pickering Casino Resort Debuts New 18-Table Poker Room

Great Canadian Entertainment - who operate land-based casinos in Canada - has increased the entertainment on offer at its Pickering Casino Resort with the premiere of an 18-table poker room featuring a dedicated bar and a tableside food delivery service.

The Canadian casino operator officially opened its $367.2 million Pickering Casino Resort some nine months ago complete with a 96,000 sq ft casino hosting an array of around 100 gaming tables and approximately 2,350 slots. The five-star facility located in the northern Toronto suburb of Pickering additionally plays host to a 275-room hotel, the 2,500-seat The Arena concert arena, nine restaurants, a sportsbook, a business center and a gym with a wave pool and a sauna.

Great Canadian Entertainment stated the new poker room is situated on the third floor of the 15-story Ontario facility and offers almost 20,000 sq ft of ‘premium gaming space’ where players can enjoy ‘an immersive gaming experience’. The Toronto-headquartered firm declared this newest addition moreover boasts 16 traditional tables as well as a pair of private high-stakes rooms for those ‘seeking a more exclusive and elevated experience’.

Great Canadian Entertainment was established in 1982 and it currently runs 25 gambling-friendly facilities spread across the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The company’s operational portfolio comprises brick-and-mortar casinos as opposed to casino sites - encompasses the recently-opened Great Canadian Casino Vancouver and Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto properties alongside the smaller Elements Casino Brantford and Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel venues.

The Executive Vice-President for Great Canadian Entertainment, Michael Kim, proclaimed the new Pickering Casino Resort poker room is open around the clock for ‘non-stop poker excitement’ and allows punters to have food from the property’s The District food hall delivered direct to their tables.

He asserted this casino bonus scheme ‘has set a new standard for unparalleled benefits and exclusive offerings in the gaming and entertainment realm’ and endeavors to connect guests across every one of the twelve Ontario facilities run by Great Canadian Entertainment.

Owned by American private equity behemoth Apollo Global Management Incorporated, Great Canadian Entertainment correspondingly proclaimed its Great Canadian Rewards program offers members ‘a host of exclusive perks’ including discounted hotel stays and dining privileges as well as admission into a range of special schemes such as front-of-the-line live event ticket access.
