To make my way around the slot, I set my wager to play $2 spins. The game immediately explodes into life, with the first spin, uncovering the sealed crates to reveal a 7x Wild that results in no win. Seven spins pass with no sign of paying out, even on the eighth, the Hunter feature is activated, illuminating every square on the grid with a 50x multiplier, and again, no win. A harsh reminder that Nolimit City is unforgiving, and it will take grit to succeed with this game.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the eleventh spin lands a $0.30 win, which activates the Avalanche mechanism, which sparks a multiplier upgrade on symbols, and as new symbols enter the game, a win of $88 is also captured. The next nine spins yield no returns, not even a special feature activates. A sign that when an opportunity comes, take it. The balance I hold sits at $60.30. I pause in deciding whether to cash out.
See, Nolimit City slots are extremely volatile; big wins show themselves very rarely. After twenty spins, it’s clear the hit rate is very low. I’ve played enough slots to know when to recognize a good thing.
