Sweet Loot Slot Review

Ladies and gentlemen, the following slot review takes place deep inside the subconscious mind of our Pirate Slot expert, Spin Jim Silver, who is currently under dental anesthesia to remove a tooth. As he slips from reality, he enters the stages of deep sleep where he encounters a sensory experience that transforms him into a giant gummy treat.

Welcome to the dream-like adventures of Spin Jim Silver in… Sweet Loot, induced by Pragmatic Play, and with a special guest appearance from Candy Caine. Join us for adventure upon the sugary seas where chocolate coins become your pieces of cake.

Candy Caine In the Peppermint Caverns beneath Sweet Falls Mistress of the Marshmallow Machines

Candy Caine: “Ahoy, there, Captain!”

Spin Jim Silver: “Where in heaven blazes am I, and why am I all squidgy and smelling delicious?”

Candy Caine: “You’re inside the Sweet Loot slot, Captain, and I’m Candy, here to help you get out by playing the game and unlocking the treasure chest for you to escape through and back into your own world.”

Spin Jim Silver: “Argh, tis a fine plot for a review, though slightly over the top. Let’s be havin’ ya then, Candy. Spin away and win us these tasty treasures.”

Gameplay & Betting Mechanics

Away from the dream-like scenario, I discuss the bits and bobs of the candy themed slot. Such as the Sweet Loot slot RTP, which comes in at 96.52%. The game also has a medium volatility setup, which will provide a more balanced ratio of wins and losses for the player. Now, the game plays on a grid layout of five rows and six reels, with an extra top row, which can feature more paying symbols and multipliers. Wins are formed using a Scatter Pays mechanism, meaning that landing eight or more identical symbols anywhere on the grid will result in a payout.

The maximum possible payout is 10,000x your staked bet. With Sweet Loot, the cost of play begins at $0.20 and rises to $240 per spin. If you are able to pay this amount, the jackpot becomes $2,400,000! Note that casinos can lower the max bet value and RTP at their own choosing.

Free Spins, Bonus Buy & Special Features

When playing an online slot from Pragmatic Play, it is customary for a player to expect very little in the way of bonuses and features. This remains true of Sweet Loot, as the game only comes with multipliers and a free spins bonus round. In addition, you have the common side bet features like the Buy Feature and Special Bets.

Is It Worth Playing?

Sweet Loot is everything you expect of a Pragmatic Play slot. There’s a glorious design to the game. It has simplistic gaming dynamics with minimal features, and that’s about it. The medium volatility is always a winner for me. The extra top row is a handy addition, but ultimately, the overall feel of the game is the same as every other slot that came before it. Some will love it, others hate it, and as for poor old Spin Jim Silver… well, the experience might sweeten him up a bit.

How Do You Rate This Game?

What Happened When I Played for Cash?

Spin Jim Silver Spinnin’ Seas Pirate Lord of the Slots

Right, to send Captain Spin Jim back, we first have to set the bet for this game. The slot already defaults to $2 per spin, which is how I like to start exploring games, so I’m ready. You ready, Captain?

Spin Jim Silver: “Argh, matey!”

Then away… we… go!

As the gummy symbols spin, pirate sea shanties play on the accordion, adding joy to Spin Jim Silver's face. He grins wider as $0.80 lands on the fourth spin. The win triggers a Tumble mechanism, leading to a win of $0.50. Spin seven keeps the looting going with another $0.80 win. This is followed by $2 on the next spin, and $0.80 again on spin nine. With a total of ten spins played, the hit rate for this game is fairly moderate. Hopefully it will keep going like this so we can send the captain back home.

To help, I go into the next round with the bet raised to $3 per spin. Despite a slow start, the jolly music certainly lifts the game. After six spins, the first win finally lands at $1.20. Next, five consecutive wins form to pay out $8.85. The winning streak continues with $1.20 and then $2.25 on the tenth spin. The slot’s performing as a medium volatility slot should, and bonus scatter symbols are landing; I’m just not sure why the golden gelatinous cannon keeps moving in and out of the game.

On to the last round, and this time we fire off the spins at $4 a play. The first spin lands a $4.20 win. Spin three results in a big $15.40 win, following another five consecutive Tumbles. Alas, this was the last win. This is not good news.

So, Captain, the game was fun, and wins hit quite regularly, with a couple of big ones here and there, but we didn’t unlock the bonus round, so you’re kinda stuck here indefinitely.

Spin Jim Silver: “So ye be saying I has to live here with you?”

Oh, no, no, no… I’m just a figment of your imagination. You’ll be here entirely on your own.
