For this slot review, I present yet another game made by Pragmatic Play. Come now, come now, don’t cry. The title is Sweet Craze, which means yet another sweet-themed online slot for us to avoid.
Now, I think we all know what’s next, because, as is customary with all Pragmatic Play slot reviews, one would rather not bother. Therefore, I can announce that it is indeed that time of the week again, when we play I Would Rather!
[Audience applause]
So, instead of playing this slot, I would rather apply boiled sweets to every inch of my nude body and lie in the desert sun for the ants to slowly feast on me. And on that Sahara bombshell, live from the emergency room and wired up to intravenous fluids, I present Sweet Craze and our guest player, Candy Caine. Stick around for the free demo, gaming details, and online casinos.

This scrumptious-looking slot, called Sweet Craze, has all the ingredients for a classic Pragmatic Play game. This means that while it may suck all the fun out of playing, you might, just might end up winning some real money.
The Sweet Craze slot from Pragmatic Play features a high volatility setting and boasts a 97.54% RTP rating. The slot features a 7x7 layout that utilizes a Cluster Pays mechanism to generate wins. The cost per spin is $0.20 and increases to $240 (a substantial $2,400 with an Ante bet). The maximum amount to win is 10,000x your staked wager, which means a jackpot of $2,400,000 is possible if you bet the highest amount.
With a Cluster Pays setup, you must land five or more identical symbols in a cluster. When you win, the game activates a Tumble mechanism that pops the winning symbols, removing them from the reels, and introduces new symbols into the game. The Tumble mechanism can produce an unlimited number of consecutive wins.
Pragmatic Play isn’t big on packing their video slots with in-play multiple features and varying bonuses. They like to keep things so simple. So simple, in fact, it’s a wonder why players bother. Well, they do, so let’s look at the alternative ways that you can win, and the game’s Bonus Buy feature.
When the Chest symbol drops, and it’s part of a win, it will transform into a money symbol.
Sweet Craze isn’t a particularly enjoyable game, and it lacks several key features. But this is Pragmatic Play, and with this developer, you really shouldn’t set the bar too high. The game isn’t engaging. You can have a cluster of ten symbols, and it still amounts to minimal returns. It’s just bland and needs to be put in the bin.
Sweet Craze comes with all the expected tropes of a sweet-themed game that’s done by Pragmatic Play. You’ve got the Gummies, jellies, chocolates, macaroons, cookies, and a character standing to the left of the game that’s one lick of a donut away from a heart attack.
I commence the game by selecting my bet to play $2 per spin. The first spin produces three clusters and a Tumble reaction that leads to a fourth win. The amount results in $3, which is why Cluster Pays is a mechanism of winning that doesn’t sit well with me.
The ninth spin lands the next win, producing a payout of $4 thanks to the Chest symbol. The next win is spin sixteen and results in $2. The hit rate is devastatingly low, and the returns are awful. It only seems beneficial to land the Chests, because when the next lands, it results in an $8 win.
With 20 spins played, it’s hard to believe that this game will improve, and I’m already $20 off from breaking even. So, just for the laughs, I put the bet to $5 per spin and play ten spins. It takes till the seventh spin to result in a $4 win, and that’s it, from all ten spins at $5, I’m further down.
Well, my sweet tooth is telling me to quit and never play this game ever again. On that note, I’ll leave you with a warning that not everything in the candy category is sweet to play with.
