When you see ‘1000’ in the title of some game made by Pragmatic Play, heed these warnings.
1: The game is a 100 percent revamp of an older casino game.
2: May cause a sense of Déjà vu.
3: Signs of irritation.
There are currently no known cures for some of the effects this game will have upon the person. Just make sure to pull your socks up as far as they will go, place a slice of white bread on your head, and to hold it in place with the electrical cord from a kettle.
I did such brave things so that I could present to you the review of Sweet Bonanza 1000 by Pragmatic Play! Ladies and men of gentle persuasion, Sweet Bonanza 1000 follows on from past releases of Sweet Bonanza (the original) and then Sweet Bonanza Xmas. But this game is a sequel to Sweet Bonanza, and it is done in a way that is exactly the same but with two main differences.
Come with me on this somewhat cheap voyage to discover those differences and what else Sweet Bonanza 1000 has to offer, in the same way as the first original Sweet Bonanza slot game. I will be discussing the programming of the software, the game design, the bonus features and rounds, and what can be won.
This review also comes with the free-to-play demo. This slot can also be played for real money inside the top casinos that have been reviewed by Casinos.com.
The entire Sweet Bonanza series is a sugary delight that can turn anyone diabetic just by gazing upon it. Set within a candy utopia, the online slot, with its mix of sweets and fruit symbols, carries a 5-row and 6-reel layout and uses a Tumbler feature.
There is a win screen to record historical wins, above which is an Ante Bet feature, above which is a Buy Super Free Spins feature, above which is a standard Buy Bonus feature.
Sweet Bonanza 1000 is very much a been there, done that kind of game.
Let’s ignore the first game for now. If you have played the original game, then you can skip this part of the review, as it is no different. Try some knitting, go out onto the lawn, and play some croquet. Try flambéing a Bombe Alaska and then explaining to the fire services how you managed to ignite your entire town in flames.
For the new players of Sweet Bonanza 1000, merely load the game and set the price that you can afford to pay per spin. The cost of what is your bet can start as low as $0.20, with prices then rising to a max bet amount of $240 ($300 with Ante Bet). The more you pay, the greater the return when you win, and with your bet set, press the spin or autoplay button to start the game.
As this is a Tumbler game, the mechanics are different from those of a normal slot. Symbols drop in and out of the reels. Wins are made by matching eight or more of the same symbols. They can be anywhere in the game, and you only need 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols to produce a payout.
When a win is made, a chain reaction of events unfolds. The winning symbols pop and disappear from the game. The symbols above them then fall into their space. Then brand-new symbols fall into the game to fill the space, and what you get are new chances of wins being created. This motion of play can produce consecutive wins from one spin, which prolongs the game and returns more bang for your buck.
The basics of play are really nothing more than this. You press spin, and the 99% automated programming of this game does all the rest. You just have to hope you’re lucky to land a Big Win or to activate the special bonus rounds.
If you played the Sweet Bonanza 1000 demo you've certainly noticed you don't get much in the way of bonus features. Here's the full story:
Sweet Bonanza 1000 is very much a been there, done that kind of game. It offers very little, but I still gave it a chance. I decided to play 50 spins with my bet set at $2 per spin. And BOOM, we are off to a great start, landing $28 within my first ten spins. After that, a lot of consecutive wins form by the Tumbler mechanics. With 29 spins left, I am breaking even. That said, with my last 15 spins, the game goes quiet, and landing wins is less frequent. With my last five spins, a flurry of wins totaling $5.80 sees me fall $10, which is sort of breaking even. Not a bad experience, really.
The other new feature is the payout amount. With Sweet Bonanza 1000, it’s 25,000 times your bet. This is 3,900 times more than the original game. The RTP comes in at 96.53% which is average. Now, when it comes to volatility, it plays like a medium, the loading screen highlights it’s a medium, but in the Game Rules, it states Sweet Bonanza 1000 is a high volatility game. Based on what I experienced, I don’t think it’s a high-volatility slot.
The experience was great, but this is no new game. It has a booster in the jackpot amount, and a new Buy Bonus feature has been added. A cheap facelift but the same attitude, so to speak. If you like the demo, then you might be interested in these similar games:
