How is it upgraded? Well not only can you land a Major symbol, but you can also land a Major Major symbol, or even a Major, Major, Major symbol, giving you a triple progressive in one ball!
Available to play across North America and other big International markets since its launch in 2022, Lightning Dollar Link isn’t yet available online for real money. However, social casinos such as Lightning Link Casino Slots do have the game to play for free.
Let’s take a look at what you can expect from playing the Lightning Dollar Link slot machine.

Each of the four Lightning Dollar Link slot machines are heavily themed in their own way, but have recurring features too.
Recurring theming throughout all of the Lighting Dollar Link slot machines includes the yellow and blue logo with bolts of lighting that strike the screen. Plus, the giant progressive jackpot totals that illuminate from the top of the screen.
With a basic 5x3 game grid and two bonus features, all Lightning Dollar Link slot machines are pretty easy to play. As multi-denomination games, you have to decide which denomination and bet level to play at, which does affect how many paylines you play with. Here’s a brief overview of the game:
The Lightning Dollar Link slot machines have two bonus features - Free Games and the Hold and Spin. However, they come as two pairs in terms of their features. That is, Chica Bonita and Checkered Flag share the same features and Corrida de Toros and Kung Fu Master share the same features too. Let’s take a look in more detail:
All Lightning Dollar Link slot machines have a Free Games bonus that is triggered by landing three scatter symbols. However, it depends what version you’re playing for how many games you get and what the special feature it brings:
| Lightning Link Slot | No. of Free Games | Feature |
|---|---|---|
| Chica Bonita | 8 | Doors Reveal Feature |
| Checkered Flag | 8 | Doors Reveal Feature |
| Corrida de Toros | 6 | Twin Spin Feature |
| Kung Fu Master | 6 | Twin Spin Feature |
Chica Bonita and Checkered Flag come with eight Free Games and the Doors Reveal Feature. During the Free Games, random squares or reels will be filled with a holding symbol. Once all the reels are filled, the holding symbols open to reveal a game symbol behind it, which can be a Wild, a Scatter, a cash value or any of the paying symbols. All selected squares reveal the same symbol which can result in some nice payouts. If you unveil at least six cash values, then it triggers the Hold and Spin for a bonus within the bonus.
Corrida de Toros and Kung Fu Master only give six Free Games instead of eight, but they have a Twin Spin feature instead. Reels one and two spin together and reels four and five spin together dropping in the same same symbols across both reels This gives a bigger chance of landing cash symbols, retriggers and impressive line pays. However, bear in mind that reel three still spins independently so it can be a little frustrating! Land six cash values and you’ll trigger the Hold and Spin.
Retriggers are possible in all Lighting Dollar Link variations by landing another three Scatters.
All of the Lightning Dollar Link slot machine Hold and Spin features work the same, whatever version you play. You need to land at least six cash symbols to trigger it. Cash symbols can be a monetary value or a progressive value such as Mini, Minor or Major.
What makes Lightning Dollar Link so special is that you can get multi-progressive symbols such as Mini Mini or Major Major Major. If that drops then the total value of that symbol is 3x the Major amount. Say, for example, the Major value is $1000, then that one symbol alone results in a $3,000 payout.
The Hold and Spin begins with three spins and every time you land a cash symbol, the counter resets to three spins again. When the spins run out, all of the cash values are added up to total your winnings. If you fill the screen by landing all 20 cash symbols then you’ll hit the Grand Jackpot!
If you love playing slot machines in land-based casinos, then you’ll know you can grab some added perks while you do. First and foremost, it's always a good idea to join the rewards club at the casino. You can then use your card every time you spin and build up points to earn benefits.
They can include discounted food and drink, show tickets and even hotel stays. Another perk is often free drinks. Whether full on waitress service with cocktails or just a free soda bar, it’s a nice bonus while you play.
For some, Lightning Dollar Link is just a different version of Dragon Link or Lightning Link. It certainly looks and feels very similar. The addition of being able to hit multi-progressive jackpot balls, though, is a legitimate game-changer.
It's no wonder, then, that it's already a huge hit on casino floors despite its high volatility. The theming is strong, the audio is fun, and the bonus features are exciting. What more do you want? Aristocrat delivers again.
