There are two certainties in life, breath and taxes… apparently. I’ll add you a third, the guarantee that Hacksaw Gaming drops another slot for their Le series seemingly for every day of your existence. Oh, look, what have we here? A game called Le Digger by none other than Hacksaw Gaming. This time, Smokey the Raccoon takes on the role of an archaeologist on an expedition to find dinosaur bones and other buried treasures.
Such slots as these require the professional touch; therefore, I have enlisted the assistance of animal slot expert David Slottenborough, who will share his findings and observations on the performance, features, and prizes. A sample of this game is available as a free-to-play demo, which is actually the fourth certainty when a site member.

In this slot review, I go on my own journey of discovery that will lead me to play the Le Digger slot by Hacksaw Gaming. Whilst the hopes of returning with a sizable payout are high on the list, more importantly, I will try not to be blown apart by Smokey’s use of dynamite. Join me, David Slottenborough, in the ultimate hunt for buried treasures.
The Le Digger slot RTP is 96.26% and plays with a medium volatility setting, which is my preference. With medium volatility, I find slot games to be more balanced between wins and losses. The game performs on a 5-row, 6-reel grid that comes with a Cluster Pays winning mechanism. Land five or more matching symbols in a cluster, and you’ll earn a win.
The highest single win is 15,000x your placed bet per spin. The single cost of which can range from $0.05 to $50. In turn, the Le Digger max win becomes $750,000, which can be seen as a reasonable return, given the game’s programming. Landing clusters of matching symbols is not the only way you can win, so let’s take a look at the special features.
Hacksaw Gaming slots come with plenty of in-game features that can help to boost the potential for winning a big payout. For this slot, features include Dynamite Removal, Golden Reveals, and three bonus games. Plus, you have the classic Buy Bonus option, which allows players to pay for gaming privileges.
This game seems to have advanced slightly more than some of the slots in the series. New additions have been added to the game, but the mechanics of play still make this a Hacksaw Gaming experience, with little immersive qualities, but the ability to retain a player’s interest. My advice is to play the Le Digger slot demo first before you spin the reels with real cash. Only then, make your judgment, and if needed, we can guide you to the best casinos offering this game as a real money slot.
Other slots in this series include Le Fisherman, Le Zeus, and Le Cowboy.

Here, in the badlands of Argentina, fossils of ancient reptiles lie buried deep within the Earth’s sedimentary rocks. Armed with enough dynamite to displace a third of the planet into outer space, Smokey and I advance on the Le Digger slot with bets set to $2 per spin.
The first spin strikes a first win of $0.80, causing the symbols to crack and crumble to reveal new symbols beneath. The fifth spin produces the next round of wins, with $2.80 paid out. Followed by $2 on the next spin.
The gameplay is much of what is expected. The performance is patient, features are rarely activated, and wins are often less in value than that of your staked wager. Across the next five spins, four wins land, but do not provide enough for me or Smokey to break even. We raise the bet to $3 a spin. The result of this is a $3.60 win. Over the course of the next nine spins, not a single win lands. The frequency of wins can certainly fluctuate, with cascades of them one minute and barren gaming the next.
With time running out on our visit, I adjust the bet to $5, and after two spins, a $5 win, upon which Smokey throws a dynamite stick, this time landing on the grid. The explosion produces three coins, amounting to an 8x Multiplier. This results in a total $45 win, though still shy of breaking even.
Smokey and I call time on this dig, and retreat to our tents and log our findings.
