Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny is one of several video slots from the popular Eye of Horus series; this one is coming from Blueprint Gaming.

Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny retains much of the same visuals and sound effects as the original Eye of Horus, released by Merkur in 2016. The game has a 5x3 reel formation with 10 fixed paylines.

As you can assume from the title, this is an Egyptian-themed slot with symbols including some popular ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs like ankhs, scarabs, and the Eye of Horus itself, representing the most valuable base game symbol. Low-ranked symbols include card royals J, Q, K, and A. There’s also the expanding wild symbol that shows up on reels 2, 3, and 4 and a scatter symbol that leads into the bonus round and awards a cash prize.

After the game has loaded, click the coins button in the bottom left to open the bet menu. Here, you can choose between various stake denominations ranging from $0.10 to $100. The spin button is on the right side of the screen, while the button below lets you select between three speed settings. The button with the circling arrows opens the autoplay menu, where you can choose 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100 automated spins.

The Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny has a free spins round that you get to by hitting three scatter symbols anywhere on the screen. You will initially receive 12 free spins with a chance to win 12 more if three or more scatters land during the bonus round.

But before the bonus round begins, you must select one of the five Tablets, each providing an enhancement during the free spins. 

You can choose between the Tablet Upgrade, which upgrades the lowest picture symbol to a symbol next in value, the Golden Horus, which turns all wild symbols into Golden Horus wilds and transforms the lowest picture symbol into a golden eye symbol, Wild Reel 1 and Wild Reel 5 which add the possibility of wilds showing up on reels 1 and 5, respectively, and +Games which adds five free spins to the count.

I was excited to try the Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny slot for real money, but it turned out this wasn’t my lucky day.

I played for about half an hour, changing my stake between $1 and $5, but I never managed to trigger the free spins round. I was one scatter short on more than a few occasions, and since the game doesn’t offer the Buy Feature option, I had no choice but to be patient.

I did score a few sizable wins, and the highlight of my session was a $150 win that I got off a single $5 wager toward the end of my gameplay. However, this wasn’t enough to put me anywhere close to my starting balance, so I decided to quit before losing any more money.

I must confess that I was a little bored playing this slot. The gameplay is too monotonous, and even the free spins round doesn’t seem to provide that much excitement, at least from what I gathered while reading the game’s rulebook. The visuals and sound effects are unimpressive, to say the least, especially considering this is a 2025 release.

Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny has a below-average RTP of 95% and high volatility. The maximum payout is $250,000 or 50,000x, which is quite high and well above average for video slots.

I wasn’t impressed with the Eye of Horus Tablets of Destiny, but I must say that its max win potential does make it quite attractive. If you’re looking for a game with an original theme, flashy visuals, and unique features, this one won’t cut it, but I see how beginners and fans of more straightforward video slots may enjoy it.

In my opinion, there are more interesting Egyptian-themed titles out there, specifically 3 Luxor Pots: Hold and Win from Playson, Egypt Clusterbuster by Red Tiger, and Glory of Egypt by Endorphina, to name a few.
