Is it possible for Pragmatic Play to redeem itself with the release of the Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice slot? The phrase “…and pigs might fly!” looms large over that possibility. Now, I know that starting a review with a negative isn’t exactly enticing. But at this stage, we have no idea what the Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice slot by Pragmatic Play has to offer, and we can only go off of the absolute garbage that has come from Pragmatic Play before.
The free demo game is available for you to play and witness the gaming dynamics and software performance. I will cover all this in the review, from design to settings. You can play this slot as a real money game online. First, create a free Casinos.com account and head to the casino reviews that will guide you to all the available Pragmatic Play casinos. To be clear, I have no qualms over the design of Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice. Pragmatic Play knows how to make a game look jaw-dropping. Sadly, that is as far as its talent goes. The game is set within some ancient Egyptian tomb or temple. The slot layout has 6 rows and 6 reels. The game has a Tumble feature mechanism, and this is a Scatter Pays slot machine. The game has an explorer character standing to the right of the reels. To the left, you have the game’s Ante Bet and Bonus Buy features, plus a huge Multiplier counter.
I am not a fan of Pragmatic Play by any stretch, and the Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice game further highlights this developer’s inability to make games big and dynamic.
Despite the large stature of this game, the slot Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice plays like all other online slot machines. First, you must choose the value of your bets, something that you pay per spin. The + and – buttons open the pricing and bet cost range through many values, starting at $0.10 and rising to a max bet of $250 or $500 if you select the Ante Bet.
With the bet set up, begin playing by selecting the Spin button. With all slots that come with a Tumble feature, the symbols do not spin on the reels; instead, they all drop off the gaming grid, while new symbols drop into the slot from above.
To win, you must land eight or more of the same symbols on the grid. These symbols can be anywhere on the slot, and the more that land, the higher the payout. Now, the Tumbler feature comes into its own when you land a win. All winning symbols will disappear from the grid as replacements drop into the game to potentially help you land another win. This process can cause consecutive wins and prolonged gaming.
Let's take a look below at the special features in the Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice slot and what they have to offer.
I am not a fan of Pragmatic Play by any stretch, and the Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice game further highlights this developer’s inability to make games big and dynamic. However, I will say that this slot takes on some new gaming concepts that have not been seen before. I loaded the slot from my casino and set about playing 50 auto-spins with my bets set at $1 per spin.
The hit rate for this game was impressive, given I made eight consecutive wins, leading to a x8 multiplier. However, in good old fashion, the return was hardly worth mentioning. It’s one of the main reasons I despise Tumble games like this. You can hit ten matching symbols, but they only amount to $0.60 in winnings.
The gameplay didn’t change at all through the spins, and a bit of boredom came from knowing that unless a feature hits, I would just be going through the motions of landing tiny wins. With all 50 spins played, at no point did any of the game’s features activate, and I was left tattooing I Told You So on my forehead.
The Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice slot by Pragmatic Play has a high volatility setting, with the RTP set at 96.50%. The maximum you can win is 5,000x the betting value. This means that you have a chance of winning up to $1,250,000 if you play with the standard max bet of $250 or up to a whopping $2,500,000 if double that with the Ante Bet.
Well, if you know Pragmatic Play and how much of a bore it is, you won’t be surprised when I tell you that Escape the Pyramid - Fire & Ice sucked. Am I too harsh? Well, you can play the free demo right here and let me know in the comments section.
