…to which that poor sheep will never be the same again.
In other news, the Greek goddess Persephone has been kidnapped by her uncle Hades in the latest game released by Hacksaw Gaming. The title, Dynasty of Death, sees the slot developers' much-anticipated return to ancient Greek mythology.
We go live now to our reporter, Mighty Hercureels, who is outside the gates of the Underworld.
I’m here at the gates of the Underworld, looking to see if we can get any comment from both of the main characters. I’ll be playing the game later on in an exclusive press event to see if I can win any money. Plus, I’ll be reporting on all the action live, so that you at home know all about the features, settings, bonuses, and prizes, including my full verdict on the game. So, stay tuned.

As other members of the press and I wait outside to get access to the Dynasty of Death game, it should be mentioned to readers that this isn’t the first time Hacksaw Gaming has delved into the world of Ancient Greece slots. Previous releases have included Eternal Duel, Army of Ares, and Spear of Athena, to name a few. Of course, many of us are asking if Dynasty of Death will be a notable improvement on some earlier Greek tragedies. We’ll know more once the event begins. Now, back over to you in the studio.
As the old saying goes, once you’ve played one Hacksaw Gaming slot in online casinos, you’ve played them all. This comes down to their stubbornness in sticking with old methods when making their games, without being brave enough to try new things. The Dynasty of Death slot's RTP is 96.27%, which is within the comfort zone for them. The volatility of this game is high, which is another regular feature.
The gaming layout is a minor change, now offering four rows and five reels, with a reduced size and 14 paylines to win off. To win, you must align three or more matching symbols upon one or more of these paylines to see a cash return. The highest single payout you can win is 12,500x the placed bet. Bets can range from $0.10 to $75 per spin. If betting the highest value, that could yield a jackpot payout of $937,500.
Not only can mechanics of play be predictable, but so too can the in-play features of a Hacksaw Gaming slot. With Dynasty of Death, you have the Duelreels Feature, which is common, as are the three different Free Spins bonus rounds you can play. Plus, the ever-present Buy Bonus option.
The Dynasty of Death is a game we’ve already seen by Hacksaw Gaming a thousand times before, just with a different design over it. If you’re a newcomer to this developer, the chances are that you’ll like this game, but for the seasoned players out there, wanting something new, fresh, and thoughtful, this is one game to steer clear of. It becomes tiresome in its performance, and loud epic music kills off all immersive qualities after 2 minutes. I think we all wanted something more unique.
Well, it’s a packed event, and I’ve got my hands on the Dynasty of Death slot, which I’m about to play, and I have to say, I’m a little nervous. Hacksaw Gaming hasn’t been at its best recently, and I’m hoping that, by the press release images, this game lives up to the hype.
So, I’m starting the game, and the design is everything you’d expect. It’s a heavy three-tone gray color concept with vivid symbol colors that pop off the reels. Hades and Persephone sit on either side of the game, with roaring music providing an epic, sweeping sound of pending doom.
The game defaults to $2 per spin, but I increase it to $3 and start playing. The first win lands on the first spin, returning $1.20. Three spins later, and the first feature lands. The VS symbol activates a duel between the gods. Each possesses a multiplier, and the victor of the battle has their multiplier added to their win. In this instance, a 3x multiplier helps me to win $17.50.
The hit rate of this game is becoming impressive, as a further win of $2.10 lands, and so far, I’ve still not played 10 spins. With the balance currently being in the positive and the game being so favorable to me, I raise the bet to $5 per spin as I play towards 20 spins.
After two spins, the VS battle symbol lands and produces a 2x multiplier along with a $2 win. In the spins that follow, a total of three separate wins land, amounting to a win total of $5. So, by actually raising the stakes, the game has performed worse. So, I reduced it to $4 per spin for the last run of 10 spins.
A $2 win on the third spin. $1 on the fourth, and $2 again on the fifth. The last win, $2, comes in on the ninth. Well, the game started very impressively, but lost its way as it wore on. Features become infrequent, and the game should have offered more immersive qualities.
This is me, Might Hercureels, live from the Underworld, over and out.
