Greetings, esteemed readers. From the position of sitting, I present the Demon Beats slot review. What follows is more of this introduction.
Demon Beats is an Asian themed slot that follows a four-piece Asian rock band that goes by the name Demon Beats as they battle against all things evil. Not in a K-Pop sense, but other evils such as malevolent forces that seek to carry out…er, evil things. For us to make sense of why a rock band would do some spare-time ass-kicking between gigs, we turn to our trusted Asian master bettor, Sensei Jackpots…

Welcome, I am Asian master bettor Roadie Jackpots, and you join me on the latest Demon Beats tour. Not since the Bee Gees visited Asia in 1972 have I ever taken an interest in music. Which leads me to the build-up of this award-winning joke, as it’s from their visit of Asia that they took inspiration to write the world-famous song, More Than a Woman.

The Demon Beats slot RTP is dialed in to 96.08% and does come with a high volatility setting. Now, this setting isn’t for everyone. It means it plays to the tune of low-frequency hits, but can, at times, belt out a huge win to make up for the player’s patience.
The game uses a grid of four rows and five reels and requires you to land three or more symbols across adjacent reels to meet the game’s payout mechanic. The highest win, which is 10,000x your bet. With 178 ways to win, the cost per spin ranges from $0.20 to $100. This can lead to a maximum jackpot to the tune of $500,000!
Now, here is the setlist of features that perform with this Demon Beats slot machine. If you lock into this game for real money, you might just come across the Avalanche feature, the Colossal Symbols, Multiplier, and Expanding Wilds. There is also the Battle feature, and the Free Spins bonus and Super Bonus. Not forgetting the Elevate side bet feature.
The game isn’t exactly mind-blowing or even new in terms of features and concepts. The tragic part is that this game doesn’t even play with the whole rock band concept. Where are the characters? Where are the special powers of each band member, with their own bonus game? They just don’t appear. The idea of this game literally ends when it starts. For that, NetEnt dropped the ball and made Demon Beat about as fun as being licked all over by your grandparents.
Tucked away up some neon-lit side alley, a temple holding evil awaits the Demon Beats crew. With my roadie responsibilities, I test the game out first. With bets set to $2 per spin, I commence the destruction of this evil temple.
The first spin unlocks many in-play features to lead to a massive $30.50 win. From Expanding Wilds to a 32x Multiplier, the slot showed me what was possible. It takes a further eight spins, however, to land the next win, which drops $8. With the first round of ten spins over, I have witnessed a performance that includes Tumbles triggered by wins, growing multipliers, and high payouts, despite the low hit rate. With this, I still raise the bet to $3 for the next round of ten spins.
Two spins in, and a $1.20 win is added to the balance. This is immediately followed by $7.50, and then $0.45 on the next spin. Then the next win comes from the tenth spin, awarding a big $24, thanks to three consecutive wins and a 4x multiplier.
With a healthy balance, I still raise the bet to $4 per spin for the last run of ten spins. $8 drops from the second spin. $1.40 from the seventh. $1.80 from the ninth, and $1.40 from the tenth. The balance left means I can cash out $3.25. From my experience facing the demonic temple, I conclude that this is a slot that does come with a low frequency of hits, but has the ability to often pay out large sums to make up for the losses.
Most enjoyable, just a shame the band didn’t turn up once, apart from some random intro scene.
