Nailed It! Games is taking us on a journey into outer space again, with the follow-up to 2023’s Cosmic Coins, Cosmic Moon. To ensure wider distribution, the game is being released by Games Global and utilizes the company’s well-known Link&Win gameplay mechanic. Is Cosmic Moon able to do anything fresh with the feature? Or does it come tumbling back down to Earth? Keep reading to find out my thoughts in this Cosmic Moon slot review.

Loading up the Cosmic Moon slot game felt like taking a little trip back in time. The game’s visuals returned memories of space-themed classics like Starburst with Nailed It! Games opting for a very basic, almost arcade-like style. The background is a purple sky covered in stars, which switches to yellow when you trigger the Cosmic Moon Free Spins round.
The reels are populated by multi-colored gems and diamonds, with the game’s logo sitting just above the reels. The upbeat soundtrack only adds to the arcade-like vibes of the game.
Cosmic Moon is by no means a bad slot. However, it does nothing to distinguish itself from other Link&Win games.
Cosmic Moon sticks with the conventional 5x3 gaming-grid set-up, with 25 active paylines on each spin. Winning combinations are formed when you land three or more matching symbols across a payline, starting on the leftmost reel.
A control panel beneath the reel allows players to adjust their stake, check the paytable, and use the auto and lightning play features.
There are two main bonuses in the Cosmic Moon slot: the Link&Win respin style bonus and the Free Spins round.
When you land six or more Link&Win symbols, the Link&Win bonus will trigger, with three respins being rewarded. The triggering symbols will hold in place, and all other positions will spin. When a new symbol lands, the respin count will reset. The round finishes when there are no more respins. All Link&Win Symbols are then totaled up and paid out. Alternatively, it will end if you fill the grid with Link&Win Symbols, rewarding the 5,000x Mega Jackpot.
During this bonus, it is also possible to win one of three other jackpots by landing their respective symbols. The Mini, Minor, and Major jackpots are worth 50x, 150x, and 750x your stake, respectively.
The Free Spins bonus is launched when you land three or more Free Spins symbols. Ten spins are rewarded. During the round, the three center reels combine and make a giant 3x3 symbol. If you land a Jumbo Scatter, you will get ten additional spins.
To boost your chance of triggering the Link & Win bonus, you can use the Win Booster feature. This adds extra Link&Win symbols to the grid for 2.5x your bet.
I tested the Cosmic Moon online slot game on my desktop and tablet. The game’s simple design had no issues transitioning to a mobile device, and I found the game easy to understand and simple to play on both.
I found the betting range to be rather limited. The minimum bet is $0.10, and the maximum is $20, which is only going to appeal to players with smaller budgets. However, you can increase the max bet to $50 with the Win Booster feature.
Before you play Cosmic Moon for real money, I recommend taking the game for a free spin with the Cosmic Moon demo we have provided. This will allow you to test the gameplay and determine whether you enjoy the slot. While there is no option to buy a bonus, I recommend playing the demo with the Win Booster feature active to increase your chances of triggering the Link & Win Feature.
The Mega Jackpot, which is rewarded for filling the grid in the Link&Win bonus, is the biggest win in the slot, paying out 12,500x your stake. The RTP of the game clocks in at an impressive 96.08%, and the slot is considered highly volatile. This was reflected in my experience of the game.
Cosmic Moon is by no means a bad slot. However, it does nothing to distinguish itself from other Link&Win games. The maximum win of 12,500x your stake is fine but is not likely to get pulses racing, and the slot’s design is not particularly memorable.
If you are looking for a simple Link&Win or respin-style slot game, then Cosmic Moon may scratch that itch. If, however, you want a slot that does something original with the respin concept, you are better off looking elsewhere.
Link&Win slots are extremely popular. If you enjoy the feature, I would recommend checking out WWE Legends: Link&Win from All41 Studios or Cairo Link&Win from Gold Coin Studios. Dragon Hot Hold & Spin from Pragmatic Play is a game with a similar mechanic with a few slight differences that I would also recommend.
