Swapping the gym for your average Amazonian cruise towards certain death, Beast Gains trades in dumbbells for dengue fever. Yes, rather than pumping iron, the cast for this slot will be pumping their insides out of their posterior. So, what the hell is going on?
To bring you up to date, Beast Mode was possibly one of the best Relax Gaming slots to be produced. Animals working out in that bizarre L.A manner of public display. This sequel does a full 360 and decides, meh, that was boring, let’s put protein shake-fueled animals on a boat, like some Noah’s Ark on steroids.
Anyway, to help me further study the oddities of this game, I am joined by David ‘those are not my suspenders’ Slottenborough, the foremost of animal slot experts within our budget. Along with his visual words, the game's free demo is available, as is access to the best casinos that support this software.

Out here on the Amazon River, relics of past visitors remain as a warning to those venturing upriver. The quest of our courageous characters isn’t entirely known. Perhaps a protein bar of gold or some gem-covered spandex. Join me, David Slottenborough, as I unlock the mysteries behind the Beat Gains slot from Relax Gaming, and ask the age-old question of what the actual feathered headdress is going on?
A lot of luck is relied on when playing such games, but programming is not without its influences. The Beast Gains slot RTP is 96.10%, which is average for an online slot. The high volatility setting with this will make hitting wins seem less frequent, but should they land, they will often be greater than the value you’re betting. The layout of the game plays on four rows and six reels. This gives the game up to 4,096 ways to win, which happens by aligning three or more matching symbols across adjacent reels.
The cost to spin the reels ranges from $0.10 and climbs to $40 per spin. The maximum payout is 25,000x your stake, so if you are betting at the highest price, you could win a total jackpot of $1,000,000, which is really good value for money. This will definitely attract a lot of players to this game for this reason alone.
Winning from general spins is one way to put money into the balance. The other is to land and unlock special symbols and features. Above the reel, you have a special row of features. The game also comes with a Free Spins bonus, possesses a Super Charge betting feature, and an Ante Bet option.
The game feels like a bit of a downgrade from the first Beast Mode slot you can find below. In classic Relax Gaming style, it doesn’t offer much by way of features, but the game can provide good value for money, with a max $40 bet able to win you $1,000,000! If you’re just in it for the money, then perhaps your attention is merited, but if you’re after entertainment and immersive action in top casinos, it’s a hard pass.

Beast Gains was not the kind of sequel we expected. The King of the Gym upping sails rather than upping his weights leads me to believe that Relax Gaming is planning more obscure adventures for future releases in this series.
For this slot, I approach the game with bets set at $2 per spin. The game’s performance is slow with no hits in the first ten spins. The game features a row above the reels that moves symbols horizontally. On spin twelve, the game comes to life, with consecutive wins triggered by the Tumble feature. $25 is won from three repeated wins. As the Tumble is activated, the symbols on the feature row move to the left, potentially helping with further payouts.
The next win lands four spins later, accumulating to $4.60 after the Tumble is activated again. The game is somewhat calm, and the music is a bit too blissful and pleasant, given the characters sail past a crashed plane, a sunken police car, and a skeleton with an arrow in its skull.
The game does lack a lot of engagement. Given the design, the game should have offered more, even with action in the background, or by swapping the music for atmospheric sounds and shifting the game's tone.
After five more spins, a win lands, triggering seven consecutive Tumbles, leading to a total $36.60 win. This boosts the gaming balance to $28.40, which I decide to cash out, given the game isn’t overly captivating to play.
