The NEXT Summit Valletta 2025 is gearing up for an insightful session titled "Gen Z vs. Millennials", slated for May 7–8, 2025, at the picturesque Mediterranean Conference Centre.
Moderated by Dragan Donkov, a seasoned coach and founder of Carob Consult, the panel will feature Stefania Zammit Cesare, the Head of Talent Management at Gaming Innovation Group. Together, they will delve into critical themes such as leadership styles, workplace values, and the evolving expectations in managing land-based and online casinos.
"The casino and gaming sectors are uniquely impacted by generational shifts," says Donkov. "As new technologies and diverse perspectives shape the landscape, understanding the contrasting approaches of Millennials and Gen Z becomes essential for effective management and collaboration."
The session at the 2025 summit aims to shed light on pressing issues faced by casino employees and management alike. Do the leadership styles of these two generations clash, or can they find common ground?
How do their differing values influence company culture, remote work policies, and salary expectations in an industry notorious for its fast-paced and dynamic environment?
Attendees can expect to hear bold opinions and genuine discussions that may even reveal surprising areas of alignment between the two generational cohorts. The panel will highlight the strengths and potential blind spots of each group while evaluating their priorities for the future of work in the iGaming sector.
Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
