As a brand new casino for 2025, I was a little skeptical about what I’d find when out in the field for this Playjonny Casino review. But on the whole? I was pleasantly surprised. With a huge game library and more bonuses than you can shake a stick at, Playjonny is already doing lots right. Stick around if you’d like to know exactly what, and I’ll also cover the weaknesses (if there are any!) of this freshly landed platform.

I’ll tell you it straight up – bonuses are a bit thing here. Playjonny Casino is an absolute treasure trove for them. In fact there were no less than 22 at the time of this review! I’ll walk you through what’s on offer, along with the most important terms, so that you can decide which you want to get involved in. Just remember that offers like these do change regularly, so don’t expect the exact same promos I got. But hopefully I can paint a picture, as it were.
Playjonny tends to operate a multi-part welcome bonus, which can usually be unlocked with a €20 deposit. It features a deposit match element and some free spins, with 40x wagering on the deposit part and 35x on the spins winnings. While the spins winnings wagering is a little high, the deposit bonus part is right on the average.
There are usually three parts to the bonus, with the second two coming with higher minimum deposit requirements. For what it’s worth, I thought it was a decent introductory offer on the whole.
Reload bonuses are offered to high rollers only, that is, those who can afford to deposit €300 each week. They come with solid 40x wagering requirements and can be claimed once weekly.
Tournaments are a big part of the Playjonny offering. You’ll find around half a dozen at any one time, all tied to slot games and offering prize pools well in excess of €2,500. Sometimes up to as much as €100,000! I got involved but didn’t win big. Still, there’s plenty of fun to be had here.
The newcomers map is a fun gamified bonus to take part in, offering up to €1,000 in prizes for completing 10 tasks. As well as offering a bit of bonus cash, this is also a good way to get to know the casino and is well worth getting involved in.
Yes, there’s a loyalty programme here. Perks in the scheme start from a handful of free spins and go right up to €10,000 in bonus money. The further you climb up the ranks, the more permanent perks you unlock, including cashback bonuses, improved reload bonuses, faster withdrawals, VIP managers and more.
For the first level or two, the loyalty programme is fine. But after that, it starts to really pay dividends. Below are the loyalty tiers and how many points you need to reach them. There are 16 tiers here by my count, so you’ve plenty of climbing to do – or should I say – points to collect.
You accrue points by playing games. Simple as that. But I should let you know that only slots, casino originals, live roulette, live blackjack, and instant win titles are counted.
Playjonny Casino doesn’t display the bonus terms right next to the bonus, weirdly. Instead, it applies standard terms which you can find by scrolling through the T&Cs. The important ones to be aware of are as follows:
In general, these bonus terms put Playjonny about in line with the competition. It’s nice to see roulette and blackjack counting for something. They often don’t - even at some of the best casino sites Ireland has.

Playjonny has a big catalogue. It’s somewhere around the 5,500 mark – but honestly? It got hard keeping count. Slots are definitely the focus at this casino, but it was great to see a solid selection of live casino games, as well as a really impressive instant win selection.
RNG table games aren’t the main attraction at Playjonny. They do have a handful, but you’ll need to search for them using the search bar, as they don’t have their own categories. I found about 40, with some blackjack and roulette options most prominent. The games they do have are good – from studios like Voltent, KAGaming and NetEnt.
With 4,500 slots, it’s clear this is where the majority of Playjonny’s focus lies. This catalogue is immense. You can search by provider, order by A-Z, or search through categories like Book Slots, and Jackpots. They offer seasonal searches too (I did this review at Halloween and found some great titles like Vampy Party, Mental 2, and Freak Out).
The live casino catalogue at PlayjonnyCasino is strong, with the majority of it provided by Evolution Gaming. Pragmatic Live bring plenty of Game Shows, and Infinity21 fills in any gaps. There are an impressive 700 titles on offer, which for even a casino of this size, is a vast collection!
All bases are thoroughly covered, and you can even keep track of wins on the Lucky Bets or High Roller tables displayed at the bottom of the lobby.
Playjonny Casino has an Android app that works well and receives really positive reviews (4.9 stars on the Google Play store). With that said, the mobile site is excellent. It feels like it was designed mobile first. So if you’re usually an app user and have an iPhone (snap!) don’t be put off.
Playjonny Casino hosts a whole host of excellent providers. The live casino catalogue shows how seriously it takes its partnerships, with a list of heavy hitters including Evolution and Pragmatic. Slots are super varied, with NoLimit City, Novomatic, ThunderKick and so many more filling up the shelves. It’s a quality mix for sure.
Playjonny Casino has a relatively small selection of payment methods, but it somehow manages to cover just about all bases. There’s the option for card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto. It does say that Skrill and Paysafecard are available in the footer, but they don’t seem to be for us in Ireland. Which is weird, because there's no shortage of casinos that accept Paysafecard available elsewhere.
While it would be nice to see an e-wallet or two, it’s not going to exclude anybody from a payment method to suit them.
The minimums vary a little, with credit cards having a €20 minimum, most cryptocurrencies a €10 minimum, and Apple Pay options also up at €20. For withdrawals, there are only two options – bank transfer or crypto – with a slightly cheeky €50 for both. I have to say I was a touch disappointed by that.
Withdrawals are fast. Internal processing can take up to 24 hours but is usually faster. And if you’re withdrawing using crypto, expect funds within a few minutes. Even many that brag about being fast payout casinos online can't match up to that.
Playjonny has an easy sign up process than shouldn’t take much more than a few minutes. Here’s how to do it!
Your deposit will be credited instantly and you’ll be ready to play. Just one tip. It’s worth confirming your email address and mobile number ASAP as it removes any locks from your account. And you get some loyalty points too!
Playjonny plays by some of the rules when it comes to security, but not all of them. The lack of a licence is a big hurdle to overcome and though they’re incorporated in Costa Rica with a data processing licence – this is not the same as a full gambling licence.
Beyond this, they do have a KYC procedure, around the clock customer support and a small selection of responsible gambling tools. So that’s a bit more like it I guess.
Playjonny Casino lets you complete KYC checks anytime. You do so within your account settings by uploading your documents directly there. In my test it took 14 hours for documents to be approved, so expecting it to be done within 24 seems reasonable.
Playjonny Casino rightly has a Responsible Gambling page. It offers a self-assessment test, as well as giving general advice on gambling responsibly. It does also offer deposit limits by day, week, and month, which you can set automatically. I had no issues getting these set up.
Beyond this, all responsible gambling tools should be requested through live chat. It’s not as complete a selection as you might expect from an MGA-licensed casino, but it’s not a bad start.
Playjonny Casino has excellent 24/7 support via live chat and email. For live chat, you do start off with a chatbot that can answer some questions, but it’s very quick to divert you to a real human being – love a little teamwork.
Email support is good too, with helpful responses from real people within 24 hours. In short, Playjonny couldn’t do much better in terms of support.
Playjonny offers a whacking great big catalogue for slots and live dealer fans. Sure, the table games section is small, but when the other parts pack a punch like this, it doesn’t really matter.
The lack of a licence is a big downside. I can’t lie; it makes me hesitant to recommend. However, the platform does partner with trusted studios, adopt well known payment providers, and provide excellent customer support. It’s clear this is a casino that’s doing business well, hopefully it’s just a matter of time before they sort out a proper remote licence.
When I saw the sheer number of bonuses available, I was expecting sky-high wagering requirements. But I was pleasantly surprised. Playjonny applies pretty standard wagering to all of its bonuses, so claiming one and withdrawing winnings shouldn’t be a problem.
The minimum deposit at Playjonny Casino depends on the payment method that you choose. For crypto it’s usually the equivalent of €10, for credit cards it’s €20 and Apple Pay/Google Pay is €20 too. Remember that bets are placed in Euros, so you’ll need to get good at conversions if you’re playing in crypto!
Playjonny Casino really excels when it comes to crypto payment times. They do reserve 24 hours for processing, but it’s generally quicker, meaning same day crypto payments are to be expected. Via bank transfer it will take much longer, generally two to four days.
Playjonny Casino points to its Costa Rican business licence in place of a gambling licence, which is a bit of an ‘amber flag’. The Costa Rican licence does mean Playjonny has to comply with KYC and AML regulations, but that’s about it.
Playjonny Casino is properly registered in Costa Rica, uses trusted payment providers, and partners with well-known game studios. While the lack of a full gambling licence is a concern, this casino does do everything else by the book. And gets positive player reviews.
The minimum withdrawal amount at Playjonny Casino is €50 (or the equivalent in cryptocurrency). This is higher than the minimum deposit amount, by quite a bit, but it shouldn’t be a barrier for most folks. Just remember you need to wager your deposits 3x before you can withdraw.
Playjonny Casino has an excellent live chat service that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is without doubt the best way to contact them, but you can also use their email service. The address to send your query to is [email protected]. Expect a response in around 24 hours.
