More Than Gambling
Kansas is renowned for its beauty, so although you may love all the action in the casino, be sure to check out all the other fun things you can see and do in Kansas such as:
- Sunflowers – The best time to visit Kansas is late summer when you can see the full sunflower fields in bloom. Two great spots to try are Grinter Farms (near Lawrence) and Klausmeyer Dairy Farm near Clearwater. They really are a stunning site.
- Dodge City – Explore this old frontier town, call in to a saloon and enjoy shootout re-enactments just like in the old wild west. Dodge City embraces its place in history and you can too by checking out the Boot Hill Museum or walk the Historic Dodge City Trail of Fame.
- Outdoor Adventures – Visit Monument Rocks, stunning 40-foot tall chalk formations rising from the plains like pyramids or why not hike the Flint Hills & Tallgrass Prairie Preserve alongside real Bison. Because Kansas has minimal light pollution it is also a great spot for stargazing in places like Elk City State Park, Cedar Bluff Reservoir, and Lake Scott State Park.
- Attractions – Kansas has a ton of attractions for all the family including museums, state parks, and amusement parks. Adventure Bay Family Water Park, Sunset Zoo, The Museum of Oz, and Tanganyika Wildlife Park are just a few options.
