Four years before the release of Toshi Ways Club, Hacksaw Gaming dropped a pretty cool game called Toshi Video Club. Well, it appears we’ve just entered into a gaming series, and the sequel looks just as cool as its predecessor.
Toshi Ways Club maintains an ice-cold animation, using only a color palette of white, grey, and orange. The question now remains: does the gameplay also hold up?
Right, that's the boring part of the intro over with. Now I introduce you to Sensei Jackpot, master bettor and star guest of this review. Sensei will be playing Toshi Ways Club for real money in a real casino online.
Stay tuned to find out what happens, how the game performs, and how to get hold of the free demo game that is literally above this text, which you’re likely playing now before even reading this.

Toshi Ways Club is no ordinary dojo of reels. It pulses with urban mystique and cascading symbols that fall like precision strikes. Hacksaw Gaming has crafted a slot of rhythm and risk, where wilds ripple like water and wins land with silent force. Step in focused, spin with purpose, and let fortune find you.
Toshi Ways Club by Hacksaw Gaming features a high volatility setting and a Return to Player (RTP) score of up to 96.09%. The game hosts six reels and can carry upwards of ten rows. There are 1,000,000 ways to win. To win, match three to six identical symbols along adjacent reels. Each spin can cost between $0.10 and $100, and with a max payout of 10,000x the bet, the jackpot at its highest is $1,000,000!
If you’ve played Hacksaw Gaming slots before, then you already know that Toshi Ways Club is going to come with the same three slot bonuses. Plus, you’ll know that the Bonus Buy option will allow you to buy your way into free spins without having to play the base game to reach them.
When a win happens, frames are formed around the winning symbols. These turn the symbols into different ones. Should another win occur, the frames will then move to new positions. It’s more of an aesthetic thing than having any real power. However, that is until Swap symbols land.
Toshi Ways Club is a good game for newcomers to this developer. If, however, you’re familiar with the ways of the Hacksaw Gaming philosophy of gaming, then you’ll be unsurprised by the dynamics. Still, you’ll appreciate the work put into the design features.
If this is to become a bigger series, Hacksaw Gaming needs to pull something out of the hat in the third game; otherwise, I’m not going to be as polite as I was at the start of this review. Play the free demo and let me know what you think in the comments section.
Toshi Ways Club is beautifully designed, with the grid set against a white and grey backdrop reminiscent of an Asian high street. The music and atmospheric sounds juxtapose, yet they work well together.
I set the betting to pay $3 per spin. The third spin lands a $4.80 payout, thanks to two Wild symbols. When a win happens, the symbols roll over to reveal new symbols. This is often referred to as a Tumble feature, but the way Hacksaw Gaming tweaked it is a refreshing change.
Over the course of the next 15 spins, only two more wins land. The values of these are less than the betting cost when added together. For much of the play, it’s a very muted game with little thrills, but this is a quality of Hacksaw Gaming you become used to.
Soon, a spate of wins led to a handful of payouts. $1.40, $3.60, and $1.20. Five spins later, the largest win of $8.70 lands, following three consecutive wins from a single spin. Alas, it looks like I may not survive this game, as I’m so far off from breaking even. Not all the Master Betting in the world can help me now…
