As I’m served up the special Slot of the Day, on an uncleaned tray, it’s evident that this game expands from a regular intake of entertainment to a very much supersized gaming experience. Let’s chow down before it gets any colder.
The stake of my bet per spin is set to $2. From the first spin, a big arm comes into the reel to smash the symbol and turn it into a Wild, whilst removing symbols above it, creating a new drop of symbols. The music is comically bad, which is impossible to describe. The first win comes in at $2.40 and is printed on a receipt, which is a cool touch.
Any pause in the game for more than 10 seconds turns it into an 8-bit, pixelated screen with trashy old-school console music. The game is hugely immersive, which is the ethos of Nolimit City; they create a world, and you’re a happy prisoner to it.
Ten spins later, the next win, $3.30, comes in. Five spins after, the first Clone symbol lands, which duplicates a symbol and expands the gaming grid to add an additional reel. So engrossed in the game, I lose track of how many spins I further play and suddenly end up with the highest win so far, $11.20.
It is certainly a madcap game, and whilst the hit rate is low, you’re so overly consumed by what’s going on that you really do not care that landing wins are a rarity. I’ll be back for more side portions of play and a dessert. But for now, I’m stuffed!
