The online slot, Star Trek The Next Generation by BGaming, has been spotted entering a galaxy of online casinos. I, along with the utter moron, Luke Skyspinner, will look to make peaceful contact with this unplayed object.
Luke Skyspinner, that’s Star Wars, isn’t it? More of a Trekkie man myself. Something more mature about that program, less child-like.
You can curse me all you want, Luke; the readers can’t hear you unless I type it.
Join us as we boldly go where no Star Trek slot review has ever gone before, including edited-out Captain Picard phrases that didn’t make the show, like “It’s a carrot, Worf. Remove that this instant.” and “She dropped them, so I engaged.”
Now, on with the review and cue the angelic harmonies from the original and superior 1960s TV theme tune.

Well, this is somewhat awkward. Nevertheless, there is a job to be done, and Casinos.com has summoned me to carry out the task for the good of mankind. I’m Luke Skyspinner, a rogue pain in the backside for any imperial empire, and for this review, I’ll be guiding my people through the slot Star Trek The Next Generation. This is a universal first, as the worlds of Star Trek collide with Star Wars, of which I’m only associated through parody.
The Star Trek The Next Generation slot from BGaming is a medium to high volatility game that comes with a 96.6% Return to Player. The slot grid holds five rows and reels, with up to 3,125 ways to win. To play, bets start at $0.20 per spin and rise to $100. The maximum payout is 10,000x the stake, making the highest jackpot return possible $1,000,000.
Winning requires you to land three or more matching symbols across adjacent symbols starting from reel one. When a win is produced, it triggers a Tumble feature. This collects and removes winning symbols. Those collected symbols charge the Respin Bonus Meter and are replaced with new symbols that can produce further wins, causing a chain reaction of Tumble events and wins.
When playing the slot Star Trek: The Next Generation, there are more ways to win than simply aligning the same symbols on the gaming grid. The main bonus feature is a Free Spins Bonus, THER Respin, and the slot also comes with a side bet that allows you to buy your way into the bonus game.
Land three Free Spins symbols to unlock the bonus game, which presents four options: Low Volatility with eight free spins, a 1x starting multiplier, and +1 multiplier increases; Medium Volatility with six free spins, a 2x multiplier, and +2 increases; High Volatility with four free spins, a 5x multiplier, and +5 increases; or a Random option that selects one of these features for you.
Given this is an official Star Trek The Next Generation game, it’s fairly basic stuff. But this is no big surprise when you realize that BGaming, which is fairly new, has picked up the rights to the TV show, and not so much run with it, but more walked and tripped over.
This is a slot game that should be bigger and better. Players should be gazing at video footage from the series as bonus rounds are unlocked. The game should incorporate more of the show's dynamics into the game, even with more voice-over dialogue.
Had this game been made by any other slot developer, I’m confident in predicting it would have been vastly better, which is a shame. It’s a tame game, but let me know what you think. The free demo is playable to all Casinos.com members, but it's also featured in top casinos online.
I have been told that the crew of Star Trek The Next Generation are a peaceful people. This is good, as I didn’t want to have to beat them off while holding my Slotsaber. That’s a mess I do not want to think about.
Contact with the USS Enterprise has been made, and we have visuals of the game on our monitors. I play with the default bet of $1 per spin. Selecting the Autoplay button, I choose twenty-five spins.
The game is simple, clean, and resistant to my use of the force. Something I whip out when I want to win. It takes a full twelve spins to land the first win of $1.40. Next $1.50, and as I win, the symbols are collected, activating a Tumble feature. Also, by landing three consecutive wins, you can activate the Respins Bonus.
With all twenty-five spins played, I’m $22 away from breaking even. I increase the bet to $4 per spin and play ten of these. With all ten spins played, not one win landed. The frequency of hits is desperately low, and I’m just not confident that if I were to play this game for a hundred more spins that I’d make my money back.
This is Luke Skyspinner to the crew of the USS Enterprise. You’re game sucks, but I leave in peace.
