Dear esteemed readers. The famous fin of Razor Shark cruises through the casinos once more, as Push Gaming returns with the fifth installment in the series, Razor Nudge. With this news, our Razor Nudge slot review suddenly develops a plot that presents David Slottenborough as the grumpy, half-baked, experienced shark hunter, and myself as the humble town police officer concerned for the community of players who will want to tread the waters of this game. For those already aware of where this is going, our accountant Steve will be the middleman, who comes with a wealth of Razor Shark experience and knowledge, having already played Razor Shark, Razor Returns, Razor Ways, and Razor Shark Jackpots.
Join us on an adventure unlike anything Hollywood could ever come up with. Now, some slow, melodic John Williams music to take us into the next section of our review.

Here, now, you listen to me. This Razor Shark isn’t no ordinary fish you take to bed with you, no. Razor Shark is a cold predator with skin of steel, released into the waters by Push Gaming. It only takes one wrong spin for the game to strike. This is a hunt, gentlemen, and we are the ones being hunted. [Takes Steve’s mobile] These fancy city gadgets, they won’t help you catch the jackpot, Steve. You play using mobile? Mobile goes into the casino; Razor Nudge in the casino - our Razor Nudge. ♪ Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies…♪
Before you step into the ocean of games to hunt this slot, here are some details about the game and mechanics. The Razor Nudge slot RTP is 96.39%, with a low volatility level setting that can produce a higher ratio of wins to losses.
The game comes on a grid of three reels and three rows, with five paylines to potentially win from. The maximum win is 500x your staked bet per spin. The prices range between $0.10 and $100 per spin. If you are able to pay this max bet value, the winnable jackpot for you becomes $409,700!
It’s very easy to dismiss retro-looking slots as games that can’t offer much because of how they look. Well, Push Gaming isn’t having any of that, as Razor Nudge comes with plenty of bite in the features department. This includes Free Spins, Nudges, Instant Jackpots, Mystery Symbols, and many more, but no Bonus Buy.
It’s always nice to see a slot series take a new course of direction, be it a one-off or entirely. With Razor Nudge, the game goes old-school, with its retro three-reel and three-row layout. It’s no new thing, but it is for this series. For me, it doesn’t hugely appeal to my tastes. The jackpot is far too low, given the costs you must spend to achieve it. It does, however, pack plenty of features in that will likely appeal to top casino players, who will already be drawn into the waters because of the low volatility.
First, we have to lure the jackpot out, slow and steady. Steve, set the bet to $0.50 per spin. After five spins, no sign of anything, though the Bonus symbols often appear and seem to rattle the Treasure Chest held above the reels. With five further spins played, nothing comes from the efforts of slowly luring the prize money out. Looks like we’re gonna need a bigger bait. Raise the bet to $1, Steve. We’ll draw that jackpot in; we’ll draw it in and drown it! Damn and blast, the Razor Nudge isn’t biting.
With five spins played at an increased bet, nothing lands, not even a feature. The game is tense; the music elevates the pulse rate, but it's a stubborn game that’s feeding off my balance and showing nothing in return. Steve, jump in and see if there’s anything about it. The hit rate for this game is low, but we can turn this into an advantage. With no wins after fifteen spins, we can raise the stake and catch a big win when it lands. The odds are in our favor; surely, we cannot lose over the next ten spins. With the bet raised again, to now $2 per spin, we see if anything bites.
Finally, a win with three spins remaining. We caught a $4 win, but this is followed by a Mystery Symbol to reveal six pocket watch symbols, resulting in a $4.80 win. We play on with the winning streak, success again, as eight Mystery symbols land to reveal diving helmet symbols and a win of $14. Take what you can before this slot takes us down; cash out, Steve, cash out! With $14 to show for our efforts. I tell you, this slot is unlike any low volatility game I’ve encountered. The hit rate was worse than low, and this might be the worst game in the Razor Shark series. It showed no mercy, and we must warn players not to take this game so lightly.
