100 meters beneath sea level, sunlight becomes diminished, and the temperature drops to a chill that makes your unmentionables disappear up inside you. I observe the new surroundings of this game. Gone are the shipwreck and pipelines of the first two games, to be replaced by an underwater monorail and control room.

I begin recording my findings as I play the slot with $2 spins. The first spin activates a win, which, in turn, produces an Avalanche feature that produces two more wins. In total, only $1.60 is paid out. The second spin repeats these actions, resulting in a minor $0.40 win. The fourth spin lands the Squid symbol, which randomly positions Wild symbols over the grid. This action leads to a $3 win. So far, the hit rate of this game has been good, with wins landing every three spins or less, and this happens again on spin seven, with a win of $1.20. 

Now, so far, the values being won are underwhelming, but this is a trait of a slot built with a low RTP and a high volatility setting. Spins eight, nine, and ten all land a win, but none of them is more than $1. To examine the behavior of this game, I increased the wager to $4 per spin.

The first spin forms a win, which is less than the value of my bet. The same can be said for the third spin. It would appear that a somewhat ‘payoff’ has formed, with the fourth spin producing more than six consecutive wins to yield a payout total of $7.20. While this is an improvement, it’s hardly positive that a run of wins can result in such a meager return.

For the seventh spin, the Multiplier Strike feature activates, although it results in no win. Spin eight produces $1.20 from three consecutive wins. With all ten spins played at $4, I decide I’ve seen enough to know that this game is reluctant to reward the efforts of the player and to enhance the value of a single bet when a win lands.
