The Irish and the slot machines have always been a winning combination. You will be hard-pushed to find any casino or provider that does not offer some sort of Irish-themed title. One of the titles to join that rich lineage is Lucky O’Mega from Gong Gaming. Don’t worry if you’re not too clued up on Gong Gaming, with the title being released under the Microgaming umbrella, ensuring it will get plenty of exposure. In such a crowded field, though, does the Lucky O’Mega slot succeed in doing anything different? Let’s take a look at this Lucky O’Mega slot review.

If you’ve ever loaded up an Irish-themed slot game before, then you will know what to expect from Lucky O’Mega. The slot does very little to help itself stand out from a design perspective, with the action set on an emerald-green backdrop and all of the symbols being inspired by Irish culture. The soundtrack is surprisingly relaxing when you are not spinning the reels, with the sounds of running water and birds tweeting filling the soundscape. Once the reels get spinning, though, all of that changes, with the slot using a classic Irish jig to get you in the spirit for playing.
Gong Gaming and Microgaming have kept things simple with the gameplay here. Players can get started by adjusting the stake using the burger menu on the side of the screen. The betting range here is actually quite impressive, with players able to bet between $0.20 and $220 on any given spin. From a technical point of view, things are very basic, with the action taking place on a 5x3 set-up with a total of 20 active paylines. Of course, like most top online slots, there is an Autospin feature here that allows the game to take up to 100 spins on your behalf.
When playing the Lucky O’Mega slot for free or for real money on the desktop, you will see that the reels are fairly small, and they are centered off to the right. This is slightly different in the mobile version, with the reels dominating the screen and the jackpot and other information moved to the top and bottom. We actually found this version more enjoyable, with the game’s simple design translating well to mobile devices. We tested the slot on both Android and iOS systems and found no issues. Some top online casinos will also offer mobile applications that will support the game too.
There are two main bonus features on offer in Lucky O’Mega. The first of these is the Cash Respin feature. These have become super popular with online slots recently, and this is another example of that. When players land six or more of the cash symbols on the reels, it will trigger the Cash Respin Bonus.
For this, the game will move over to a different set of reels. All standard symbols will be removed, and all that will be left are cash symbols and blank spaces. The triggering cash symbols will remain on the reels, and players will be given three respins. Any cash symbols that land during this round will stick, and every time the players land one, the respins are set back to three. The round will end when there are no respins left, at which point, all of the cash symbols will be added together and paid out.
The other main bonus here is the Jackpot feature. There are three jackpots on offer in the game, mini, major, and mega. In order to trigger these, players need to land the symbols that correspond with each jackpot that is displayed on the left-hand side of the reels.
Lucky O'Mega is a medium volatility slot with an RTP that varies depending on the version you play. The lowest is 94.06%, while the highest is 95.23%. The maximum payout is 248,600.00 coins.
Lucky O'Mega is a very average slot game. Irish-themed slots are a dime a dozen at this point, so it can be tricky to do something entirely new with the genre. That said, the title doesn’t really attempt that – it just offers a simple, no-thrills slot experience. The jackpot could be a selling point, but with a 1,000x payout, it’s not going to attract too much attention.
