For those new to the Immortal Romance series, which was created by Microgaming and then picked up by Games Global and Stormcraft, it has grown into a sweeping epic that is perhaps taking itself far too seriously. The Immortal Romance: Sarah’s Secret slot opens with a ‘Previously in Immortal Romance’ backstory video. It’s about a nine on the cringe scale, but perhaps the game can redeem itself.
I set the betting to play $2.50 spins and step into the world of Sarah’s Secrets. The ambience of the game is much like the games before, but the design is wholly different. Sarah stands guard of the slot, which is set within some murky woodland. The first win lands on the third spin, returning $2. During the play, orbs are collected by the heart-shaped vials. The next win is $00.25 and then $5.50. The hit rate is moderate with four wins in ten spins.
In the ten spins that follow after this, three orbs land and activate a bonus feature, the vials Twin Flames and Magnify are lit up, and I enter the bonus game. Twin Plays (Twin Flames power) is introduced, and a respin game plays out on two grids. The Magnify feature is a multiplier booster. From this bonus, which went exceptionally well, I received a win of $175.50.
Back to the base game, and my balance shows $160, which I decide to cash out. Well, dear mortals. The game is pure cheese, but it certainly knows how to provide opportunities to win.
