When an esteemed award-winning writer, such as myself, is tasked with developing a slot review for Hot Hot Fruit by Habanero, the brain collapses, the limbs dissolve, and the spirit rises into the ether, only to be hit by a passing asteroid. In short, the game is about as original as a pair of pants.
So, I will bypass all humorous efforts to bring this game to life and settle with the facts. This way, I can finish earlier and begin jumping off cliff tops, and you can crack on playing the free demo game and joining any of the top-rated casinos reviewed by Casinos.com.
Now, a list showing the content of this review, which makes it look all posh like:
Part 1: The design
Part 2: How to Play
Part 3: Features and Bonuses
Part 4: My Experience of Playing Hot Hot Fruit for Real Money
Part 5: Software Settings
Part 6: The Verdict
Now that you have glimpsed into the future let us begin the attempt of insightful reviewing.

The design of Hot Hot Fruit by Habanero is a full-on retro style. This is 80s neon lighting that was left on after the era of 70s disco ended. Sadly, the music accompanying this game is more like that found on 90s Teletext Services. Decades aside, the Hot Hot Fruit layout brings about fifteen paylines from its three-row and five-reel grid formation.
The old-school tribute is further enhanced by the use of fruit (melon, plum, and orange), 7s, and BAR as the core symbols from which to win. For those that cannot handle the music, rather than fly a plane through your computer or mobile, there is a tiny mute button option at the low right of the screen.
Now, admittedly, the Hot Hot Fruit slot is not a game I would give the time of day to. If it were on the streets, homeless and begging, I’d likely walk past it. If it were hanging from a building top and about to fall, I’d film the events on my mobile phone. If Hot Hot Fruit was on fire, I wouldn’t even stop to point out that it was a health hazard to other passersby.
To play Hot Hot Fruit online for fun or real money, you first must set the bet value. Use the + and – options on the Coin tab to select the value you pay per spin. The bets can start as low as $0.15 and rise to an amount of $3000 (subject to change if you fiddle around with the pointless Bet and Bet Level options).
Once you have accidentally set your wagering to an amount you cannot simply afford, begin the game by pressing the central play button. This will cause the reels to spin and will result in either a win, a loss, or both, which is not at all possible.
To win, you must land three matching symbols or more. The more you land, the more you win, and the more you win, the more respect people will have for you, and the more respect you get, the more power and control you gain. Anyway, winning is good, and to help you win, the game has special features and a bonus round.
Hot Hot Fruit provides a variety of interesting features that are worth exploring.
You know what? I probably would just highlight the irony and make the game suffer more. I’m not a nasty person, but this game doesn’t need to exist whatsoever.
On that note, I load the game from my casino and set the value of my bet to a mere $0.15 per spin. I then set the game to play in its autoplay mode. From this, I select to play fifty auto-spins. It takes twenty-three spins to land my first win, and this pays out $1.40. Yep, this is a huge red flag for me. More than twenty spins to make a win, wow.
A few more wins come in and at this point, my interest is so far removed from the game that I’m imagining the workers of Habanero watching me play their game and laughing at me in an insanely joyful manner. So much so, that a few even point at me whilst they mock my despair.
So, the fifty spins came to an end, and I won nowhere near enough to be able to cash out.
Hot Hot Fruit has a 96.84% RTP. The game was built with a high volatility setting. The maximum amount you can win is 25,000 times the amount you are betting. Players who bet the maximum of $3000 are, therefore, playing for a $7,500,000 jackpot.
This is according to the math, but technically, if the Hot Hot Feature was in effect, this would mean being three times the amount, which doesn’t seem quite right at over $22 million. So, I did some research, and it seems no one knows what players can actually win as a max payout.
The Hot Hot Fruit slot is absolute junk. The game is the first I have played that is so mind-numbingly basic that it doesn’t even make any sense. I doubt the world’s leading scientists could figure this one out, and I bet that in trying to do so, the workers at Habanero, who made this game, would point and laugh at them as well.
Avoid, and go play something else. Here are three totally random recommendations that show just how top casino games should be made:
Fortune Tiger by PG Soft
Kenneth Must Die by Nolimit City
Starburst Galaxy by NetEnt
