Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a slot review that takes us all into a world of mafia crime, non-period drama, and real money. The game in question is Chunky Carlo’s Money Mania by Play'n GO. Hold onto your seats as I set the scene for yours truly working alongside Goldislots as we team up to investigate the case of Money Mania.
[Police Station – Sergeant's Office - Shouting]
“You’re a loose cannon, Goldi. You shot up half the casino, and the perp still got away. I should suspend you, but you’re too damn good. You got 24 hours to apprehend the Play’n GO slot Chunky Carlo’s Money Mania, or I take your badge.”
With that, we hit the streets to find clues about the game. We hustled people for info about the in-play features, the money being paid out, and whether the gameplay had any new mechanics. What follows are some of the events of this case.

[Side Alley – Interrogating Slippy Steve, Games Dealer]
We know you know about the new mafia game by Play’n GO, Steve. Multiple witnesses say they saw you playing the game on the bus; they even said you won big. So… tell us what you know. Are the rumors true? Does it really have a 25,000x max payout?
“Look, Goldi, I don’t even ride the bus, you know that, and if I talk, these guys, they’ll take my phone, then how will I play my online games?”
[Goldi pulls out one of her Three Bars and beats Slippy Steve.]
So, Slippy Steve finally gave up some intel on the game, and it turns out Chunky Carlo’s Money Mania slot RTP is 96.20% and has a low volatility setting. No wonder all the gaming mob online are after this slot, when it’s going to play with a high hit rate.
The slot is described as having five rows and five reels and uses a Cluster Pays mechanic to formulate wins. This means that four or more identical symbols need to form a horizontal or vertical cluster to merit a win. Slippy Steve confessed that the max payout is 25,000x the betting price. When it comes to Play’n GO software, all their slots have a betting range of $0.10 to $100 per spin. Which would make this game’s highest jackpot $2,500,000!
We’ve had a guy working undercover for three months who confirmed that Chunky Carlo’s Money Mania does come with several special features and a bonus game, but no bonus buy. The undercover report lists features that include three progress bars, coin symbols, four instant prize jackpots, and a Big Heist Respins bonus.
The Chunky Carlo’s Money Mania slot is possibly one of the best Play’n GO slots of the last few years, and this is because of the immersive quality that is not only within the game but also in the information menu. Now, with that said… I have my suspicion that Play’n GO is starting to sweat over the new iGaming gangs in town. Much of this slot feels like it was inspired by NetEnt and Shady Lady; heck, even the animation looks like a popular Adult Swim show. The slot is very character-driven, and whilst the game isn’t perfect, it’s a brave move from a developer that has been struggling this year to produce consistently good games.
If you wanna do some crime, then spend some time with Carlo and the crew. My advice: stick with the demo for now until you feel you’re ready to raid the casinos.
Due to classified intel, we can’t say how we got inside the office belonging to Chunky Carlo. There, we hid inside the lockers and waited to see what happened...
Well, well, well, look who decided to show up, Slippy Steve. Through the locker vent, I saw Steve load the game with his bets set at a crazy amount of $5 per spin. As Steve plays, you can hear Carlo loving the sound of his own voice, chiming in now and again, with his crew popping up with a few words as well. Steve plays ten spins, with only wins of $3 and $0.50 landing. When wins happen or if any special symbol gets collected, it triggers an Avalanche mechanism that adds new replacement symbols into the game to potentially help the player win more money. It then takes a further nine spins for the next win, the highest so far at $12. The hit rate is kind of poor given this slot has a low volatility. Spin twenty, and $2.50 drops. Steve looks a bit panicked and raises his wager to $7.50 a spin.
The hit rate suddenly picks up, with win after win landing, paying out $3 here, $2.50 there. Suddenly a $12 win drops, followed by $15 after three successive Avalanche activations. Slippy Steve looks elated; I’d seen enough and decided to bust the locker doors open and arrest everyone in the room.
