Shooting Outside Bellagio Leaves 2 Dead

The Las Vegas Strip became a crime scene last night, as two YouTubers were shot and killed during a livestream, allegedly by another YouTuber. (Screenshot: News3LV / YouTube)

The Las Vegas Strip was closed down in both directions shortly before midnight on Sunday, as police responded to a shooting outside the Bellagio fountains. The shooting was captured on video during a livestream by YouTuber Finny Da Legend, who was reportedly killed along with another person.

Las Vegas Metro Police confirmed offices on patrol responded to shots fired at 10:40 pm PT, and asked people to avoid the area. At a wee-hours press conference on Las Vegas Boulevard, they confirmed two people were killed by gunshots but were not ready to publicly announce the names of the victims and their alleged shooter.

Here’s the video that spread rapidly around social media.

In it, you see Finny appearing to set up the camera before a woman engages in an altercation with another man before a gun is pulled and at least seven shots are fired, sending nearby bystanders into a panic.

In another video, people could be seen frantically running down Las Vegas boulevard as police swarmed the area.

Yet another video showed police performing CPR on one of the victims while they other lies motionless on the sidewalk.

Police Respond in Real Time

At a 2 am press conference Monday, LVMPD undersherriff Andrew Walsh offered details of events that took place on the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, on the pedestrian thoroughfare in front of the Bellagio fountains.

Officers on patrol heard the gunfire, Walsh said, and they found two victims lying on the sidewalk suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite CPR and other life-saving measures, both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.

“At this point we believe we have the suspect identified and this is an isolated incident,” Walsh said, “knowing that the suspect and the victim had previously engaged in some type of conflict using a variety of social media platforms.”

He said that LVMPD homicide detectives had a good idea who the suspect was, and the police were actively seeking him.

“We know there is a lot of information circulating in social media on a variety of platforms that are out there, and we’re asking the public to continue to share those tips,” Walsh said.

As of press time, all social media accounts of the victims and suspects were still active. And police were asking for help coming through them for additional evidence. Walsh asked people to call Crimestoppers (702-385-5555) so all tips and leads would go to one place.

“We can’t confirm all the information that is out there, but we believe we do know who the suspect is, and that’s all we have at this time.”

Bad Blood Between YouTubers?

The man seen on video engaged in an argument before firing seven shots is believed to be SinCity-Manny of the SinCityFamily YouTube channel

Followers of their channels have known these two have been feuding for at least a year, with threats seeming to escalate over recent months and weeks.

About month ago, Finny posted a compilation of menacing videos from SinCity-Manny.

Both YouTube accounts show years of videos recorded in Las Vegas.

The Sin City Family has 43,000 subscribers on YouTube, while Finny Da Legend has about 3,200.
