When Will Meghan Markle Join TikTok? The Latest Odds

Meghan Markle made a triumphant return to Instagram in January, with her account @meghan, and she hasn't looked back since.

The Duchess of Sussex's Instagram now boasts more than 4.2 million followers, but she could soon be branching out on social media.

The former Suits actress has dropped two series of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, in 2025, with a festive special on the way, too.

But Meghan has hinted she could be set to move away from the series and concentrate on a shorter form of content creating, as part of her plans to leverage her "significant influence to build a successful, long-lasting business empire".

Earlier this month, Meghan was a speaker at Fortune's Most Powerful Women summit, in Washington DC, and when asked whether there will be a third season of With Love, Meghan, she said: "Well the holiday special is coming out in November and it's a really good one.

"So we're able to say eight episodes for two seasons - that's a lot of work.

"And having done Suits for seven years, I remember what goes into production - how much people want content in different sizes. So what we're testing out now - it's amazing to be able to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes and be able to share that with you? And how that continues to grow As Ever.

"So [I'm] exploring all the options of what that could look like."

Meghan's comments have coincided with an upturn in her posting Instagram Reels more regularly. As a result, some have speculated she could soon be venturing onto TikTok by creating an official account on the video-sharing platform.

Following her comments, it's just 4/5 favourite that Meghan launches her own TikTok account as early as this year. But it's 11/8 for the former Suits actress to do so next year.

She re-launched her Instagram career on January 1st, 2025, so it would make sense if Meghan kick started 2026 by creating a TikTok account.

Record Breaker Meghan?

The star's @meghan Instagram account had huge instant success on New Year's Day, with Meghan surpassing one million followers within 24 hours of her premiering the account.

Meghan's most-successful Reel by far was posted in June, when she posted a video clip of herself and her husband, Prince Harry, dancing four years previous while she was in labour.

It saw Harry and Meghan, who was pregnant with Princess Lilibet at the time, gyrating and dancing to song Baby Mama Dance, which was part of a TikTok challenge in which pregnant women and their partners danced to the tune.

She wrote in the caption: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do! [crying laughing face emoji]"

The video went down a storm on social media, and it has been watched more than 72.6 million times since.

Earlier this month, Meghan shared a video of her trip to Paris Fashion Week, where she was on the front row at the Balenciaga Spring-Summer 2026 show.

She also posted a highlights Reel of a romantic jaunt to New York with Harry, and added the caption: "Until the next time, NYC - thanks for the memories!

(You really know how to charm a gal)."

And she posted highlights of her trip to Washington DC for Fortune's Most Powerful Women summit, writing in the caption: "Love being surrounded by strong women supporting each other!

Thanks to @fortunempw , my team, DC, and my sweet friends for the 24 hours of impact (and fun!)" Judging by her Instagram account's successful first 24 hours, Meghan would likely have similar interest if she was to create a TikTok account.

But would she break the Guinness World Record for the fastest to reach one million TikTok followers? It's currently held by K-Pop star LISA, of BLACKPINK fame, after she achieved the milestone in just two hours and 18 minutes.

Meghan is 6/4 to set a new world record, but LISA is likely (4/6) to hold onto that one for now.

Meg's Instagram Inspiration

While the Duchess may not set a new world record with her TikTok account, she will be inundated with followers.

But who will she follow first in return? If Meghan takes a similar approach to her Instagram account, she won't even reach double figures. On @meghan, she simply follows the official Instagram account of her own lifestyle brand, As Ever.

She is 15/8 favourite to do the same on TikTok - but that would require her creating a TikTok account for As Ever first. Meghan might also like to follow her husband Prince Harry (3/1) on TikTok, but he would also need to create an account on the video-sharing platform first.

If Meghan wanted to give her TikTok an instant boost then following her fellow Fortune's Most Powerful Women summit speaker Selena Gomez (5/2) - who boasts 59.5 million TikTok followers - would be a wise move, or she is 6/1 to follow fellow speaker Kamala Harris.

During Harry and Meghan's recent trip to New York, they went for lunch with their friend, tennis superstar Serena Williams, and it's 2/1 she is Meghan's debut follow on TikTok.

Others who might be in with a chance of being Meghan's first follow include showbiz power couple Katharine McPhee and David Foster (7/2), and Meg's pals Oprah Winfrey (4/1) or Katy Perry (9/2).

The Duchess is also best friends with her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer (8/1) and former model Kelly McKee Zajfen (10/1), but neither are on TikTok. Harry and Meghan famously stepped down as senior royals in January 2020 and moved to the US shortly afterwards.

It's a massive 50/1 that Meghan follows The Royal Family Channel - which provides royal news to its 1.9 million followers - first on TikTok, and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is a 33/1 outsider.
