How to Earn Complimentary Cruises From Las Vegas Casino Rewards Programs

LAS VEGAS – Complimentary cruises are one of the most popular perks offered by several major Las Vegas casino rewards programs. While cruises may sound like a high-roller benefit, they are available to many members depending on tier status.

On the Strip, Caesars Rewards, MGM Rewards, and Wynn Rewards each offer complimentary or discounted cruises to qualified members. Hard Rock Las Vegas is expected to offer the same cruise benefits through its Unity Rewards program when it opens in 2028.  Casinos typically offer discounted cruise offers to lower-tier players, while upper-tier members may receive complimentary cruises lasting up to 10 days.

How Casino Cruise Offers Actually Work

Casino cruise rewards are tier-based and accessible to players depending on the level of casino activity. That also means that members with a higher status via tier match may not qualify.

Even when the cruise fare is complimentary, guests are often responsible for taxes, port fees, gratuities, and upgrades.

Cruises are a valuable perk for players, but casinos are not offering them purely as a gift. These are reciprocal marketing partnerships.

A casino comp cruise sends players to a ship where they gamble and enroll in the cruise line’s casino loyalty program. If the player enjoys the cruise, they often return to the land-based casino to continue earning offers, creating an ongoing cycle.

Many cruise casino programs also offer tier matching with land-based casino rewards programs to reinforce that relationship.

Understanding how the offers work helps players gamble responsibly. In casinos, “free” rarely means completely free, and knowing the details helps players properly value the offers.

The business relationship should not discourage players from enjoying discounted or complimentary cruises, but expectations should be realistic.

Earning Cruises With Caesars Rewards

Caesars Rewards offers discounts on select Norwegian Cruise Line sailings to most members each year, if available. Destinations may include Europe, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Mexican Riviera.

The highest tiers may also receive a complimentary cruise. Discount levels vary by tier status and sailing:

  • Platinum members receive a 10% discount for inside suites, 5% for oceanview or higher
  • Diamond members receive a 20% discount for inside suites, 10% for oceanview or higher
  • Diamond Plus members receive a 20% discount for inside suites, 10% for oceanview or higher
  • Diamond Elite members receive a 25% discount for inside suites, 15% for oceanview or higher
  • Seven Stars members receive a 30% discount for inside suites, 20% for oceanview or higher

Diamond Elite and Seven Stars members may receive one complimentary cruise annually.

Members may also receive discounts on Regent Seven Seas Cruises:

  • Platinum: 5% discount
  • Diamond: 10% discount
  • Seven Stars: 20% discount

Partnership offers change periodically. Current promotions are available on the Caesars Rewards cruise booking page.

Using MGM Rewards To Earn Cruises

MGM Rewards partners with Royal Caribbean International and includes Celebrity Cruises. Complimentary cruises are reserved for upper-tier members, but all tiers receive some benefits.

Gold, Platinum, and Noir MGM Rewards members qualify for one complimentary cruise each year. The cruise length and stateroom type are based on tier:

  • Gold: Up to 5 Nights in an Oceanview Stateroom and a $125 credit
  • Platinum: Up to 7 Nights in a Balcony Stateroom and a $200 credit
  • Noir: Up to 10 Nights in a Junior Suite or Concierge Class and a $300 credit

Members sailing on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises may also earn MGM Rewards Points, Tier Credits, and slot dollars while gambling onboard. They also receive onboard FreePlay:

  • Sapphire: $25
  • Pearl: $50
  • Gold: $75
  • Platinum: $100
  • Noir: $200

Additional benefits may include waived fees and promotional discounts. Because partnerships change, members should confirm current details through the MGM Rewards cruise partner page before booking.

Longer Cruises and Discounts From Wynn Rewards

Wynn Rewards offers complimentary and discounted MSC Cruises depending on tier status. Since this is a smaller rewards program, the offers are straightforward.

  • Red Tier (entry-level) members receive 30% off select sailings.
  • Platinum Tier members may receive up to 10 nights in an oceanview stateroom with MSC Cruises and $100 in onboard casino FreePlay annually.
  • Black Tier members may receive up to 10 nights in an Aurea Suite with MSC Cruises and $200 in onboard casino FreePlay.

It is essential to read the fine print for all cruise offers, as similar-looking benefits can differ significantly. For example, the discounted fare applies only to the cruise rate. Taxes, port fees, and other charges may still apply. Some fees may be included for higher-tier members.

Anyone planning to use this benefit should review the full terms and conditions before booking a discounted or complimentary cruise through Wynn Rewards.

What’s Not Included In A Cruise Offer

Casino cruise offers generally cover only the base cruise fare. Additional expenses vary by tier status, cruise line, and personal preferences.

Many complimentary cruise offers are based on double occupancy, meaning a second passenger is usually required and may still need to pay taxes and fees.

Passengers are also responsible for transportation to the departure port, whether they use local transportation or airfare. Guests must also pay government taxes, port fees, and daily gratuities, all of which can add up.

Travelers may choose to purchase cabin upgrades, drink packages, specialty dining, shore excursions, and Wi-Fi, which can significantly increase the total cost.

Guests are not required to gamble while onboard. However, those who plan to gamble should set a budget in advance. A “free” cruise can still cost more than $300 per person, and often more depending on the sailing and onboard purchases.
